3 College Freshman

Administration: At times they can be overly strict for no reason, but they do their job to make sure everyone is safe.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Cheaper than on campus housing, and you save a lot more money.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of options but you have to know what you are looking for.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: It can be a hit or miss.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It has a great sense of community and pride in the school.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing is literally minutes away from the campus.

Party Scene: Partying is an integral part of the Chico way of life. The entire community surrounding the campus comes to life on the weekend; you can walk from street to street and always find a house party that'll welcome you in.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Downtown offers lots of variety; Pluto's is my go-to for a healthy meal.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Police are very strict on campus due to the school's unflattering reputation.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I've had no issues with financial aid here; the school's always been helpful and I've always been able to pay for classes and supplies without hassle.

Scholarships: They are not clear about the scholarship deadline.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The dining hall food is so unhealthy.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Plenty of options. just depends on budget.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Better than food on campus but usually a bit more expensive and usual not healthy for the body.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Call and asked if I qualify for any other form of FA and the lady gladly told me what I could get. Definitively hassle free.

Campus Food: The food serve on campus aren't not the best but its good enough for a hungry college student.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of places to go eat downtown, but once you have tried them all, you can really decide which places are your favorites. Woodstock's pizza is the best pizza in Chico, by far!

3 College Sophomore

Party Scene: There are always places to party in Chico, it is just a matter of where you go. I have only been to a few and I still cannot say I had a great night of drinking and partying, so I just don't go out on the weekends. Just remember, any school can be a party school, it is how you use your time that will define that.

2 College Sophomore

Administration: One night I was out with friends and I managed to make my over over to University Village which is another on-campus living option. It was a quarter to 2 o'clock and I called the police station asking if I could get an escort back to my room, the operator proceeded to tell me they stop running and 2 and that they only escort you back to your room if you meet them at the library, ON CAMPUS! The fact that they were not willing to help me, while I was by myself on a weekend that is considered to be not safe because people from out of town come, made my experience with them awful. I somehow made it home safely, but I would not try and ask for their help again.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Marketplace is by far the best place to eat on campus. The food is always fresh and you can always add money to your card instead of just limiting yourself to your flex cash. I personally get the lowest meal plan with the most flex cash because sometimes Sutter Dining is not always that great. Sutter Cafe opens up after the dining hall closes and that is sometimes even better than dining.

Campus Housing: Campus housing is a great thing for anyone in college. It doesn't just have to be freshman. For my dorms, I think they are pretty expensive, but for the quality of life I have here, it is not bad. It all works out. The farthest walk to one of my classes is less then 10 minutes, everything is super close and convenient. This town is a college town and everything is in walking distance. Some things aren't, but the necessities are! The atmosphere in my dorms is very quiet, but everyone gets along with each other. You will meet some great people and some that you will be friends with for many years after college.

5 College Student

Campus Housing: I like it a lot.
