4 College Freshman

Greek Life: I am not in one, but it looks fun and a great way to meet people and get involved, and it makes people want to get more involved.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I am currently on the Chico State Cheer team and from experience I know athletics are hard to afford, especially when you don't get so much money. The basketball team is one of our biggest sports on campus and student involvement is so great but our gym is so tiny for all the people that come. Fan support is always amazing as well as school spirit.

Off-Campus Housing: Pros are the distance and it isn't as convenient as living on campus but there is a bit more freedom. Cost is probably extremely better than the on campus dorms. Parking would probably be provided where you live. Safety may get dangerous if you're walking to your place late at night. I have never had a landlord so I wouldn't know

Off-Campus Dining: The cost is decent. Convenience is great. Students discounts varies at certain places. They have a good source of variety.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Sometimes it can get scary to walk on campus at night

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: Everyone I know says they come here because they get offered a lot of money

Party Scene: I went to one party for my roommates birthday and I hated it. I cannot stand the smell of weed, it makes me sick and to top it off there was a drive-by that night and it scared me straight.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: It's better than anything I can cook!

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: You get the chance to meet so many people, you never have to worry about cooking your own meal because it comes with a meal plan, and it's convenient to get to class on time!

Overall Experience: The physics department is a hidden gem.

Greek Life: Date a frat guy for 3 years, seemed fine to me.

5 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: I had a studio for $500/mo utilities included in a basement 3 blocks from campus. It was AMAZING.

Scholarships: From what my colleagues have said, its been a breeze.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Food: Why anyone would eat on campus when downtown is RIGHT THERE is beyond me.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: On campus is average, about the same as any other university I visited. I ended up in Whitney Hall.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Prices are affordable and the places are nice

Off-Campus Dining: So many delicious, affoesable, healthy options. I love eating out.

3 College Freshman

Administration: They're fine aa long as you stick to the rules and don't cause trouble.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It was easy, but I didn't receive what I needed.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: Always stick to the 5 main streets that spell out CHICO unless you know someone who lives in the house. Some parties can get sketch, and never walk alone at night, especially in the avenues.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: Sutter gets tiring, but I love having flex cash that can be used all over campus. I always use mine to get coffee in the morning from Common Grounds.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Living on campus your first year is very convenient and fun, but the rules get tiring after a while.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: Pretty much the same all around

3 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: A Lot of Mexican food

4 College Student

Administration: Teachers are very willing to help you succeed
