Guys & Girls: it's a bunch of rich kids that are either socially awkward or try and replay their high school days mixed with kids that are not rich and came here to play sports because they couldn't play anywhere else.

CLU’s small student population creates an intimate, tight-knit community among students. Most students are down-to-earth and often reach out to those whom they haven’t met. It’s rare to find students who keep to themselves. The student demographics are very diverse, and there are students who come from as far as Thailand to as close as Arizona. Student diversity helps to build tolerance and lends to the school's close community feel.

The Southern California sun keeps students tan, with healthy, glowing skin. Students take care of themselves and are always well-groomed. Many students are attractive, which of course leads to hookups and long-term relationships. Relationships are more common than hookups, and many CLU couples will tell you that they’ve been together since their freshman year. Promiscuity levels differ from student to student; hookups are not looked down upon and neither is being single or in a long-term relationship. Students are respectful of each others’ sexual orientations and encourage others to be themselves.

Social Scene
With one step on campus, people will immediately be immersed with friendly hellos and welcome smiles. CLU's social scene is bright and happy. Though students do have their specific group of friends, most are never afraid to step out and hang with others during CLU activities. It's a small school, so students usually know each other or know of each other, which creates a tight-knit atmosphere.
Hookups or Relationships?
At a small school like CLU, more relationships tend to form than random hookups. Hookups usually start and end at off-campus parties. A lot of CLU students are more inclined to be in long-term relationships. It's not hard to find couples who have started dating their freshman year. Most usually find their significant other in fellow CLU students or have maintained their high school relationship.
Dress Code
In this land of sun and shine, it is the norm for students to be wearing shorts, loose tanks, and flip-flops in November. The climate is almost always warm, except for the random days of sprinkles, which allow for casual clothes. Students usually dress a bit nicer for off-campus parties, but the vibe is still casual.
