Athletics: Our girls Track and Field is one of the top in the country!

5 College Student

Scholarships: Most students are on a scholarship, a hefty one at that.

Weather: SoCal weather is the best.

Athletics: I want to play baseball here.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The verification SUCKS. I hate it.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The class sizes are great. The only thing I wish is that more courses would be offered.

5 College Sophomore

Technology: Computers are available on campus but I enjoy having my own.

Diversity: An atheist could walk into the chapel here and have a rational discussion with the pastors. Very accepting environment.

Campus Housing: Dorms get better as the years go by.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarship, but am short about $11,000 a year.

Party Scene: I like calu because I can focus on my school and sports with out too much party distraction. You can always drink with your friends at the dorm and go out on the weekends usually. Houses can be selective and clicky. Most houses are owned by sports teams. Party scene is same group of people every time but its okay if those are your friends. Freshman not wanted in parties for the most part.

Technology: I have a cheaper laptop I bring occasionally to class or to type hw, but I also go to the library to utilize computers there. Each student gets a printing quota of $100.00 worth of prints. I only used $10 the first semester. It is 10 cents a paper.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: a process to get financial aid, but calu has a lot of money to give away.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Drinking and smoking takes place during the week and on the weekend usually go to house parties or clubs.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live in freshman dorms with three other roommates. The set up of two bedrooms (shared) a common room and bathroom is perfect amount of space! Like a mini apartment. Rooms are rather small but its okay because you only sleep in your bedroom.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Very diverse campus. People are not judgmental.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I played on a varsity team this year and it wasn't what I expected, but the facilities and training is like d1 set up. Even though CALU is d3, athletics and training are taken very seriously. Very much like d1 program.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of options within 1 or 2 miles. Mall down the road a few miles. Fast food places , restaurants and grocery stores

3 College Freshman

Administration: Drinking is not allowed in the dorms but mostly everyone does it. Parking is free but parking tickets are given out like free candy. Most ras will turn a head with drinking.

Located in the heart of the beautiful, secure town of Thousand Oaks, CLU is an ideal university for those who enjoy a tight-knit community that focuses on academics, diversity, and social connections. The small student population offers students more occasions to bond with fellow Kingsmen and Regals, and to connect with professors who actually know them as individuals, not just as numbers. The semester system enables students to delve into courses of their interest, and the time spent on academic studies helps students discover what they would like to do after their CLU years. With more than 35 majors and 35 minors, and a mix and match of doubling up on both, students are bound to find their perfect area of study. CLU’s close, intimate environment provides students with what other large, public schools can’t: countless opportunities to shine academically and socially, and stand out as individuals without the pressure and competition of a large student body. Clubs, organizations, academic departments, and residence halls are just some of the places in which students can become involved, contribute to their school and local communities, and bond with other students, faculty, and staff.

To briefly break away from the hectic class schedules and loads of coursework, campus events, like Club Lu, afford students with musical-, sports-, art-, and food-related events. From sports games at Dodger Stadium to catching a comedy flick in Kingsmen Park, CLU events bring students together for a night of fun. At any of these events, in class, at the caf, or just hanging out in the dorms, it’s not difficult to see the diversity of students. Coming from a variety of social, economic, ethnic, and political backgrounds, CLU students bring a great understanding and appreciation for other cultures on campus.
