Party Scene: No parties are held on campus, that would never happen without punishment

Campus Food: Seriously the best food you can find on a college campus

Campus Housing: I absolutely love my housing and dorms, it keeps you so involved in the school. There are always events to help you bond and make friendships with others. It is super easy to start the housing process, it is very straight forward and simple. The cost is definitely worth what you get out of it.

Off-Campus Housing: I do not know much about off-campus housing but there are apartments available near the school that would be close to shopping and other resources as well.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a variety of options that provide different kinds of food. The cost isn't too bad, but student discounts would be appreciated. Also, there should be more late night options.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Since it is a Baptist school it is fairly strict. Sometimes this puts a hindrance on having fun. One thing I would change is the visiting hours for freshman. I understand that it needs to be monitored, a little bit more time would be nice.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I have applied for as many scholarships and financial aid options as I could. Getting enough financial aid is challenging for me, especially being from out of state. I am a very good student but other than that, I guess I do not stand out for many scholarships because I am not of a minority, my parents don't work with special organizations, and I am not from California.

Party Scene: I don't party, at least not the kind with the negative connotation. I like the parties that the leadership offices host. It provides a way to kick back and forget about the school week for a little while.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: I love the variety on campus for dining. However, I would like to see some healthier options available. I would suggest Briscos make global bowls that are not fried or soaked in oils. I would also like to see a few more healthy warm meals in the caf.

Campus Housing: I love living on campus. It gives a whole new aspect to the college experience. Coming from out of state, it is nice to have a clean, spacious living area, even as a freshman. The community is so welcoming and there are a lot of events offered to get yourself involved in.

Off-Campus Housing: Far from school but can't complain. Free rent

Off-Campus Housing: Since there are so many great living options on campus I wouldn't bother with being off campus. The apartments close to the school are in questionable neighborhoods. If you absolutely must live off campus, rent a room from someone in the area for better pricing and a safer environment.

Off-Campus Dining: My favorite restaurant in town is Olivia's Mexican Restaurant. Their tamales are very authentic.

If you're looking for the bar scene, Lake Alice has live music every night and affordable drinks.

Administration: The Administration at CBU means well but they are wildly unorganized and a bit on the greedy side. There's a department for every little detail and the micromanagement is not working out so well. It's difficult to find on campus jobs because international students are given priority. Tuition is getting more and more expensive the more students we let in and Admissions will accept anybody, making the campus crowded. I love CBU a lot, but the people running it need to get their act together.

Scholarships: Getting financial aid at CBU is a nightmare. The department is understaffed and documents get lost and accounts are frozen all the time. Accessing financial aid online through insidecbu is confusing and complicated. If you receive one award on time consider yourself lucky!

Campus Food: Nobody does Sunday Brunch like CBU. They roll out the red carpet for students and outsiders. Every two Tuesdays in a row I have the most wonderful cheesy bread you will ever taste. Lately the Alumni Dining Commons hasn't been serving its best on the weekdays but I forgive them every Sunday and Tuesday. For every other day, Briscoes serves great breakfast and killer snacks at late night. For your safety, do not ingest Briscoes pasta...it's crunchy every time. I don't even have to talk about Chic-Fil-A because it's delicious every single time. We do have a new dining place which is the El Monte Grill. It's pretty much a knock-off Chipotle so if you're a Chipotle fan, come hungry!

Cal Baptist is seriously blessed when it comes to food. It definitely influenced my decision to attend.

Campus Housing: The housing at Cal Baptist is as luxurious as college gets! Freshman have the option to stay in regular dorms or in cute little six person cottages. Upper classmen have four different options for apartment living with some places being brand new! Older housing like the Village or University Place can get dingy but the community makes up for it. The whole Residence Life Administration can be useless if you have a housing conflict (specifically Resident Director Janelle Fagg) but the CBU RAs are some of the nicest people I know on campus. If you really want to experience CBU, live on campus.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Psychology major and philosophy minor!

Every class is interesting, and the professors are experts in their fields. Whether you want to focus on the research aspect of psychology, counseling, or use psych to apply to other areas, there is a place for you. Your professors and the career center on campus are extremely helpful in answering any questions in how to reach your goals. With psychology it's best to seek experience and internships and this school is so helpful in guiding you to the right places to do so.

Every professor I have had makes the class an open discussion, you're free and feel comfortable to ask questions to get the most out of your lecture. Dr. Pelletier is a great psych professor to have and is really funny. His classes are always really cool to take.

In regards to philosophy, Dr. Bates is the professor who convinced me to study in that area. When you really find something you're good at and the professors recognize it (what happened to me with phi) so many more doors open for you! It's amazing how much I found that psych and philosophy overlap, I'm more confident now for the future and the people I am going to help. Psychology and philosophy are great areas to study here at CBU, whether you are a Christian are not.

Athletics: The team performance is great because they are able to work together in a group. They get along with each other and support them in the sport battle when competing other colleges. The athletic facilities does a excellent job of taking care of their athletic. They want them to be ok, and tries to help in any way with their injuries or hurt.

Off-Campus Housing: Their parking is great because they have enough space parking for everyone and that the parking permit is free. Also, the view next to the parking lot is very beautiful, it's like beach because the palm trees and green grass next to it. Their safety is quite lenient. They want everyone to be safe and that they do really do care for their purpose here in Cbu community.

Administration: Their campus strictness is fairly fair. The strictness provides a lot of protection for the Cbu students, environment, and community. This helps students' academic and social lives. For their academic, it keeps them focusing and realizing that they are actual learning: academic progress. For social lives, it keeps them safe and be in safe protection at all.
