Scholarships: Work With Your Finaicial Situation – was able to pay past due tuittion directly to school with out interest

Athletics: Champions at CBU – The sports have the best coaches you can find. The athletes train early and have top of line training too. The girls volleyball team are division champions and the girls soccer team has one of the best coaches in the U.S. There is a girls soccer camp every summer at CBU for girls who are interested in playing soccer in college. The sports games are worth going.

Administration: Very Strict Campus – Because CBU is a Christian school, Christian values are strongly enforced and severe consequences are given to the people who go against those values. The police and people on campus are very strict about drugs and alcohol. getting caught multiple times can cause you to lose your housing. The first time you get caught with alcohol, you have to take a class about it and also get written up. You also have to be in your housing before midnight because the on campus security goes around the school and locks the gates.

Guys & Girls: Very Attractive People – The students at CBU are all very friendly and helpful towards other students and new faces. both the guys and girls are very attractive that go to CBU. It's quite impressive how many good looking people attend this school.

Local Area: Pretty Good Atmosphere! Riverside doesn't have the big-city feel and excitement of LA, but there are still plenty of things to do, and the town is overall very college-student friendly. The beach, disneyland, LA, and the mountains are all close enough to drive to for the day, so there are good options if you're bored!

College Freshman

Greek Life: There is no Greek life at CBU, but there are still plenty of activities and groups to get involved with!

Majors: I Love My Program – I would chose liberal studies all over again! I can not wait to obtain my degree to purse a teaching credential. I would love to become an elementary school teacher and I have very little concerns that I will not find a job in my field. I have faith in God, and know that he will provide me my dream job.

Health & Safety: I am an OPS students, so I am generally on campus in the late afternoon and I feel safe walking to my class or my car. The campus does have emergency points, so I know if I don't feel safe I can go there.

4 College Senior

Majors: Simple Process and Help Along the Way – I am in majoring in Liberal Studies with concentration in early childhood studies and was able to apply without any difficulties. The process is great because unlike the UC and Cal State Universities, CBU application process is all year long. Meaningly, they accept students in the fall, summer, and spring.

5 College Senior

Majors: Online and Professional Studies – I am studing a CBU as an OPS student; and I love it. This program is very flexible and is a fast way to complete your degree without settling for less. The classes are in the afternoons and have few students in them, which gives the students a better learn experience.

5 College Junior

Majors: So Many Options – At CBU there are so many Major options its wonderful. The staff is there to help you attain the best degree posssible along with helping you find jobs. The time these proffessors put in for the students is amazing. they have many office hours and they enjoy getting to know and help their students. The staff and faculty also try to find job offers and inform their students about them so that we can have a chance of having a job once our education is finished. there are many internships available and they are always posted on the bulliten and sent through emails.

Off-Campus Housing: The Price – CBU offers wonderful on campus housing at a reaonable price. so looking off campus seems hard to do. the prices off campus are more expensive and do not cover what on campus housing does. Most of the housing available is very close to the campus that you could walk or ride a bike. Landlords are normally fair though there are a few you need to watch out for but those are normally farther away from campus.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: No Where to Be Ofund – This campus is one that does not allow drugs to be on campus. of course if you are on a sports team or in a group of people their will be the occassional person who has an issue but no place is perfect. though this school prides itself in keeping the students and faculty clean. it is a very nice and wonderful school.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: There are not many scholarships available through CBU. there are the usual academic and sport scholaraship but other than that it rewuired history in debate or theature in order to even qulify for another scholarship. plus the amount of money granted to a person is not helpful seeing as a private school costs alot of money.
given that you do need to stay on top of all the councilors and financial aid assistance their. you have to ask about the scholarships and see if you qualify yourself. it was a hassel but eventually I was given what I had earned.

Parking: School Is in the Process of Expanding. some areas of parking are closed off due to construction.

3 College Junior

Weather: Fairly Sunny – Mostly good weather. Some cold and rainy days, but not too many.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Hit's the spot quite often, but a little pricy for the quality.

Off-Campus Housing: It's Like Having Your Own Home! On campus, there are a few options for living areas. The one I currently live in is about 10 minutes walk to class. They have been previously lived before our school purchased the housing area due to space issues. The con would be that those who don't live in each area get lost because there is no schematic to where each building is located. Also, because these were previously owned living areas, some of the apartments were rather dirty and had some issues. Other than that, they are quite lovely!

Majors: Vast Array – If I had the opportunity, having my sights on something of the medical field, that is definitely along the lines on what kind of internship I would like to do. Being a science major, you need to do some sort of internship in order to graduate. Having your priorities set is a major issue that you would need to factor in to your schedule. Depending on what other commitments you have already engaged in, having an internship on the side could affect you in school. I currently do not an intership, although I am looking, because I do not have a car on campus.

Academics: Work Hard – Professors are pretty much available whenever you need to talk to them and discuss whatever you need to. They are very understanding which is what I love. Workload definitely varies from one professor to another. Because they feel that we are adults, homework per se does not really make a difference in the final grade for the course-unless doing/not doing it affects your test scores.

Off-Campus Dining: Love Getting Off-Campus Sometimes – Off-campus dining is a fun thing to do when you do not feel like eating in the dining commons. They are pretty much accessible because there is a bus system that runs near our campus. Going to the plaza is mostly where we would go because there is a variety of restaurants with varying prices. For instance, there is a panera, cherry on top, California Pizza Kitchen to name a few.

Academics: Advisers Really Help – Being a science major, my professors have been in my position and are able to steer me in the right direction. I have one specific adviser who is assigned to me and I am free to go in and talk with him if I have any questions. Each adviser takes such an interest in their students and some have even made connections for their students.

Overall Experience: Could Not Ask for More – Being at California Baptist University has been amazing. We have our own community and it makes me feel so comfortable. We are provided with so many different opportunities and are able to make the most of the college experience. Academics are very important and I definitely strive to be the most I could be.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Pre-Nursing at CBU – It's a hard major however there is a sense of camaraderie that is established with fellow pre-nursing/nursing students. There are a lot of other students who are in similar situations that you are in and it's nice to have a big group of fellow students for support. Professors are great and labs are brand new.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: Inland Empire- Southern California – There is a lot to do in the "Inland Empire" of Southern California, however you will need some form of transportation to do these things.
