Majors: I do not know too much about how internships work at CBU. However, I know there are a lot of on campus jobs available, including teachers assistants, lab assistants, and tutors. I actually have an internship at Dudek, which is an archeology business. I did not get this internship through CBU though.

Local Area: Although, my school is unbelievably amazing, the surrounding area isn't to great. There is a mall down the street, where you can find a lot of students. Also surrounding the school are elementary, junior high, and high school campuses. About 15 minutes from the school is Downtown Riverside. This little area has a lot to offer, including shops, restaurants, festivals, museums, and hotels. One event, I remember going to is an art festival. There were all sorts of artwork on display by private vendors or professionals in galleries. Also during Christmas time, the whole downtown is lit up and very beautiful. About 15 mins in the other direction is Castle Park, which is a small amusement park and a very elaborate mini golf coarse.

Greek Life: Honestly, we're a very diverse and big on international students, but I wouldn't say that we have a "Greek life" at California Baptist University.

Weather: CBU is located in the Inland Empire, where it is usually very hot during the summer and very cold during the winter because we're by the mountains where it snows. Being that I'm from Orange County, the weather there is always very breezy and chill, rarely does it get extremely hot. The thing is, I don't allow the weather to interfere with my campus experience. In fact, my friends and I find fun things to do during the seasons, that way we enjoy the campus, regardless of the weather.

Parking: Parking on campus is great. Being that the campus itself is quite small, there is always plenty of parking for students residing on campus and off campus during school hours. At CBU, parking is divided into sections, depending on where it is you live on campus. Then there is a big section for students to commute to school, with no cost. Permit costs is a big deal because I have tons of friends who spent over $200 on a parking permit, per semester; whereas at CBU and a lot of other private universities do not charge for parking permits.

Majors: I love the programs here. If i could i would do it all over again. My career goals are to end up in the FBI or CIA and the departments here help you with that. I am concerned a little but what college student is not concerned. I believe their will be a nice position that i would except because of the great learning habits i have received by being at this school.

Athletics: The Varsity Sports here are amazing great. Basketball and Volleyball are the biggest sports here. Usually the gym is packed. The rec sports are just as big especially football. Almost everyone attends those games.

Transportation: We get free public transportation. Everything is remotely close but we can ride the bus as far as we wish

Local Area: Riverside isn't the most active place but their are local area's that allow you to expand the adventure you wish to seek.

Campus Quality: They are always looking to expand and upgrade. When I got there, I thought it was great, but 4 years later, I was bummed that so many new buildings/facilites were being added that I wouldn't get to enjoy. Thus is life.

Weather: It's usaully hot and stuffy in the "Inland Empire." Winters are mild, but still need a sweatshirt or some layers. The beach is only 45min away, so that makes everything better.

Transportation: Public transportation is really good because the buses run every 15 minutes. Its free and depending on where you live you might be applicable for scholarships.

Parking: Parking is amazing! I'm a commuter, and after touring schools such as UCR, I was concerned that parking would add 45 minutes to each morning. At CBU, though, spots are extremely easy to find--on a bad day of parking, I only have to go four or five rows back. Permit costs are included in tuition and fees, so they're free, and you can register as many cars as you'd like.

Academics: The professors at CBU are extremely involved with your education and invest in each student. I've had multiple professors give me (and the rest of the class) their phone numbers and invite us to text with any questions, comments, or concerns.
The registration process is a breeze; I've registered for classes for three different semesters, and have only been unable to register for one class (and it was my first semester when I had no priority).

Academics: The academics at Cal Baptist are top-notch. I'm double majoring in Public Relations and Psychology, and the professors in the classes I've taken so far have been outstanding. There are a variety of internships offered and special events for specific disciplines (the School of Behavioral Science is having an "Options and Opportunities" seminar this fall). The workload is definitely not easy, but A's are completely attainable with hard work.

Weather: The weather at CBU is absolutely amazing! Typical Southern California weather--decently warm in the fall, but mild in the winter. There are occasional rainy days to satisfy those cold weather people, but not enough to bother most sun-loving students.

Majors: love this school. the campus is beautiful and the living areas are like a mini community. the teachers are amazing at their jobs. i have not participated in any internships yet because i have not entered into any internships because i have not completed my courses but there are plenty of opportunities while your in school to go out and get that hands on experience in any field you choose to peruse.

Majors: accounting was not my choice as a major my father pushed me to declare i thought it would be difficult but the teachers mad it easy for me to excel. i have normal struggles but all of my professors worked really hard to make sure i keep passing grades. I'm still not sold on the major but i do know that i can excel in the course with the help the school offers. maybe one day i can take the knowledge i'm receiving and manage and entire business account or maybe ill keep the degree in my back pocket either way i know i will have something to fall back on in the future the college is expensive but it is worth the money and much more.

Parking: Permit costs are included in the tuition. I never received a ticket/fine so I am sorry I am of no assistance in that regard. Everything (class buildings, dorms, library, etc.) is within walking distance. There is plenty of parking space.

4 College Junior

Academics: Excellence is what my professors strive for. I do not know any of the professors outside of my major so I can only speak for the ones who I have had. They are very patient and understanding. This helps me be more relaxed and open to sharing what it is I am struggling with. Workload has never been an issue for me but I do know that some of my peers have difficult times. Nursing is huge at our school. We have a wonderful nursing program! Global Studies is also a growing major and many do enjoy that area of higher learning.

Majors: I do not plan to have an internship because I am in the process of graduating, however, if an opportunity presents itself, I will take advantage of it.

3 College Junior

Majors: I cannot grade my institution, that would not be fair. It is what you make of it. There is hustle and bustle all year long. There are always students and professors putting in their time and energy on campus. I enjoy the positivity my school radiates. I am private in regards with my faith which provides curiosity or disapproval among my peers. This use to bother me but not so much anymore. I am happy to be a student at CBU and eager to work with my fellow classmates and educators. The workload is not unbearable but for an exceptional product, one must put in time and effort. The curriculum for my program is appropriate and fitting. Opportunities come at you, left and right.

4 College Junior

Majors: I am really pleased with the programs that are offered by Cal Baptist. Most of them are collective, which in my belief, these programs are great for learners. They encourage one to expand thought and practice.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Overall i believe California Baptist University has done accomplished there goals to live your purpose. They sent many kids on ISP trips. The Professors here are wonderful. They really care about there students potential and listen when they need help. Everyone is nice and sweet here. Their are some complication in the student accounts and financial aid office but nothing is perfect. I always learn something that will change my life for the better and that is why i continue to attend this college.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a decent amount of restaurants around if you have car. You can always take a bus but most people don't like to. I think there are good food places with great prices for dinning out.
