Local Area: Riverside is a pretty cool place. Downtown riverside has an art walk every month, cool museums, eaterys, and cafe's to go to. The Mission-Inn is beautiful around Christmas time, and Mt. Rubiduox is a fun place for people who like hiking. You just have to know where to look. There's also a mall that is a couple of exits away from the school.

Party Scene: If you want to go to school for partying, CBU isn't the place. It has a lot of fun things to do but the students at CBU who actually do party (less than most schools) just go outside of campus.

Off-Campus Housing: I'm a commuter because of costs, but everyone I know who lives on campus loves it. It's honestly less expensive than most universities, and living on campus makes it easier to make a lot of great friends and get involved with the activities on campus. The parking is free at school. The food choices are awesome!

Greek Life: We do not have Greek life therefor there is no need to think about it

Off-Campus Dining: Its pretty good, if you drive about five minutes away you can go to the Tyler Mall and there is basically every option you need in that general area.

Overall Experience: I have just set up an appointment with the career center so I think its so helpful that they have that as a resource to students. I notice a lot of alumni work with CalBaptist.

Overall Experience: I think my school is better than any other school I could have picked from. There are kind people everywhere and most of them love Jesus just like me.

Campus Quality: CalBaptist is an amazing school. I used to go to a different college and though it was modern, there were not nearly as many useful facilities as CalBaptist.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors at this campus are amazing. They all challenge me and give me information that keeps me wanting to learn.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I eat on campus every day that I am at school. I could eat at el monte grill everyday.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: In all my courses I can look around and see many different kinds of faces, different cultures and backgrounds.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is not Greek life at my school. Personally, I love that about my school.

College Sophomore

Majors: I do not know what it is like to be in the chemistry program at my school because I have not started taking any courses for my program yet.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: Getting into my program was easy for me but I had very good grades, a lot of extra curricular activities, and several letters of recommendation. I have helped out at several churches in their youth ministries so I feel as though I was a good candidate for the CalBaptist. I do not know if it difficult to get accepted into this school.

Off-Campus Dining: Since the campus is located not too far from a very urban part of Riverside, there are many options of what to eat, where to eat, and kinds of food. There is something to satisfy everyone's cravings within 10 miles of the campus.

Campus Housing: This campus is absolutely beautiful. I do not know what the dorms look like but the class rooms are lovely and modern. The facilities are just top noch.

College Sophomore

Majors: I have not taken any internships. I plan on taking an internship so that I learn what it is like to work in a specific field. My college offers many internship opportunities.

Local Area: Some parts of this city are very safe while others are not the best. I would not live here after graduating because I have several plans on where I want to go after graduating and Riverside is not in my plan.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: So far I have not taken any chemistry courses at my school though I am a chemistry major. My professors are very helpful at my school. I enjoy going to all my classes and the homework is always helpful.

College Sophomore

Athletics: This is my first semester at CalBaptist. I am too busy too attend any o the sporting events at my school but I do know that some of the students go to the events. Clubs haven't started meeting yet as far as I am aware, they pick up in February. I am not the best person to ask when it comes to sports because I'm not an athletic person or interested in athletics.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I always feel safe at my school. I know that the students there are not there to hurt one another and I can trust that the majority of CalBaptist students would try their best to protect another if they saw anything dangerous happening to another student.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The school is expensive. Luckily, the school gives scholarships and getting financial clearance is not difficult.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are many apartments that surround the school that are not expensive and make it easy for students to commute to school. I do not live in any housing near the campus so I am not very familiar with what it is like.

Administration: I think that too many schools are too lenient on many things such as drug use on campus, drinking on campus, underage drinking, etc. I think that CalBaptist does its part in making sure that the campus is safe. Since CalBaptist is strict on many things, I feel safe whenever I am at school. I feel like I do not need to worry about walking to my car in the night because there aren't going to be drunk people walking around with bad judgement. There is a long list of things that I do not need to worry about that I would have needed to fear had I been at a different school. Also, I believe that when most people go to college right out of high school they go through a party phase because they are away from their parents, during this phase, many students make regrettable decisions. At CalBaptist this is not a problem that students will face, though they are away from their parents, they still have rules that they need to abide by and this keeps students from making bad choices.
