5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: For the first time, I was able to experience being away from home. Even though it was a little sad, but at the same time, it was exciting. This first year was so amazing, I was able to meet many new people, and I was able to engage with others who are very different, and having different morals. Because I choose to live here the fall and spring semester, well the whole year, was a good choice I made. The cost was okay, about three-thousand for a semester, which is not bad. Overall I had the chance to live in the cottages, it was really great, I just wished I could be in them, there just so cute houses, I feel like I am not even at school, but in my Home Sweet Home.

Administration: Being strict in a baptist school is understandable. I mean come on, how can you complain about not having alcohol or something that is illegal. It is very good, that the school goes by rules, and also having a dress code. I agree with all the rules they have on campus for students, and we should obey them no matter what.

Scholarships: I did receive financial aid, but it wasn't enough to pay the whole thing. I ended up pulling out a parent plus loan, which was a little difficult I really wanted to attend CBU, and thanks to God, that the processing for the loan went well. And it was able to cover my first year here at CBU, but for now, I am on the look for scholarships for the new coming years, because I am a little worried about paying for school.

Technology: I own my own laptop, because I do a lot of work on it. For example I have been doing so many essays, and although there are students who can do their work at the library, but I would just prefer to have my own computer. But what I do use often is, printing out my essays or any work that I need to have printed out. Some times the network tends to not want to work, which I noticed is at night time. But overall the network is fine, and not a problem that I need to worry about.

Athletics: Although I am not an athletic, but I do enjoy some sports. I really enjoy going to the gym on my spare time, and just having a good time working out. I live with some soccer girls, and they are just great. Even though I don't see them everyday, like my other roomates, because there so busy with soccer. But even though, I manage to have a good friend ship with them.

Health & Safety: The safety security is really great, and it keeps students aware that there is help around, when it is to be needed. The cameras looking over the whole school is also great to have, so those who are at public safety can look out for specious things going on. Overall, in my personal safety, I like to walk in a group, also because I am a girl, so I feel much more comfortable being with others, when walking in the dark. But I can say that I do feel safe on campus.

Academics: CBU, offers many options about academics, like for example they have the Academic Success Center ASC, which the students can go to, and try to get help from tutors, who are willing to help out. Also in my experience, the professors that I have had so far, are really caring, and they are willing to help out their students.

Off-Campus Dining: Although I live on campus, which here the food is great, it's just has different varieties of food to eat. Also I don't have a car, so I am not usually going out to eat out. I mostly stay here, either I go to the school's cafe, and once in a while I enjoy cooking. So I would prefer to cook home meals, instead on going out for fast food meals.

Majors: Coming to CBU, I was determined with a Criminal Justice major, but throughout my first fall semester, somehow I took notice, that I didn't want to do that anymore. As for now, I am still not sure what exactly I want to focus on. But I can say is that I want to do something that helps others, and makes them happy, and also me. For now, I am just taking my gen eds, and still try to figure out what I would like to do with myself.

Majors: I have not yet had a internship, but of course I would like to have one, in the area that I would like to specialized in.

Diversity: Although I have always been surrounded by my ethnicity, which I it does feel nice to be able to communicate in my own language, but coming here was one big decision I was going to make. It's very different, but it really doesn't bother me. It is okay, change is okay, not bad. All I can say, is that I really enjoy being part of a new family. CBU family.

Party Scene: Again, being an online student only I do not know anything about the nightlife around the campus.

Overall Experience: I was hesitant in coming back to school. Thankfully CBU Online is a great way for students to get back on track to getting their bachelor's degree. I have been so inspired that I am actively looking into continuing my education on and getting an MBA as well.

5 College Senior

Majors: I was accepted into the online program with ease. The major criteria is a GPA above a 2.0 to qualify of the online programs as a transfer student.

College Senior

Diversity: Not being on the actual campus it is difficult to gauge how diverse the campus is.

Weather: Not being on the actual campus, but living 40 miles south I can attest to the fact that the weather is Southern California is almost always sunny and warm during the day.

College Senior

Athletics: Being an online student I have no idea of how important athletics are to the actual campus.
