3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It's a scary ride having to pay for private university. Scholarships are definitely your friend, but even still you may get worrisome. Just prepare ahead of time and seriously save up. Also, do not neglect your high school academics, getting good grades and acing you SAT can seriously benefit you if you're planning on applying to CBU.

Athletics: I have heard great news on the athletics on campus. Though I'm not in athletically inclined, I know people who take it seriously and all at the same time take their studies seriously.

Overall Experience: It's large and small type of campus, if that makes any sense. Though it has many students, the classrooms are very small, meaning a student can learn a lot more from a professor who will take his or her time to teach a subject. Since classrooms are relatively small, students can have personal talks with their professors if they need help with the subject.

Majors: It was easy switching into my major, but definitely take it seriously, and don't always be fickle in choosing a major. There are huge reward for academic excellence, especially if your brain correlates to your intended major.

4 College Freshman

Administration: Everything is calm and easy if students and teachers cooperate with each other, there is minimal, if not barely any reason to be strict, the students have been very kind to one another enough to keep things safe and fun.

Campus Housing: I've been in several dorms, just for a visit, and you'll be surprised how you can compare it to a large apartment. It makes me want to live on campus, though it's best I don't since I live conveniently close to the university. Independence has itself written in every dorm room, the only challenge is dealing with differences between a roommate compared to yours.

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus could be a range of things. If I were not at school I would be with my closest friends from church who are capable of having a blast at any restaurant, and though a lot of it may be fast-food, we have not failed to find quality dining restaurants that are definitely at student price range.

Campus Food: It is an excellent place to dine in. I could not feel anymore at home or feel like a youngster again sitting in a cafeteria. The food is amazing and sitting on a lunch table helps students connect with each other like we once did in middle school or high school.

Academics: Since I am still an upcoming freshman, I would have to decide for myself, as should every student. From what I've heard from upcoming freshmen, the majors offered are very diverse, but a good academic record depends on the individual student's habits. I have heard a great deal on the academic excellence of Southern California's universities and the maturity if its students. As for me I personally would not neglect my education, but rather find a balance for fellowship and school.

Campus Quality: The campus was wonderful the last time I visited it, but it's not more of the place but more on the people who accompany you. The trustworthy friends, who you know you can study with, can turn a small dorm room into an amazing place to hang out in. But so far I am impressed with CBU's facilities, they are both organized and convenient.

Health & Safety: Seeing how I don't hear much trouble going on in CBU, I can honestly say I trust its security, however I cannot guarantee everywhere I step is a safe trip, I still have much to learn about the school. In overall I find it to be somewhat like an oasis to study in.

Administration: One of the reasons i chose this school was because of campus strictness.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: our sports teams are awesome!

4 College Freshman

Diversity: There are many different types of people on campus.

5 College Senior

Greek Life: We don't have a Greek life so this was hard to answer.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are options but it can get repetitive after a while.

3 College Senior

Majors: Not the best but not the worst. Enjoyed most of my professors.

3 College Senior

Majors: Pay is okay and the commitment is bug but the payoff is great. Good way to get invested in.

5 College Senior

Campus Quality: Great place that is so easy to get involved. I love this school.

Health & Safety: Safety and security on campus are always things we've been looking for and I think us being a close community we are able to stand together along with our security and know that we are completely safe. Security even goes out of their way to take care of us.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Financial aid department was a true help and they are very upfront with everything they need in order to best serve us which is saying a lot because other departments I have been with don't.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Really diverse community, but I think we strive together when it comes to the religion aspect, because most if not all are christian and its something that we can use to come together and fellowship.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Love supporting the sports and intramural and club sports! They bring a sense of unity and school spirit and just another way to fellowship with students. Student involvement in all aspects is huge

4 College Junior

Local Area: love the atmosphere it's almost like you get transformed when you step onto campus, the inside world is amazing, but the outside is just as good with lots of stuff to do and ways to get necessary items.

5 College Junior

Academics: Academics are great here at CBU. Great professors, awesome curriculum, and I registered for classes later and still got everything I asked for and more. They give us numerous areas to study and hangout and they want you involved in as many things as possible and tutoring is just another great perk !
