4 College Freshman

Athletics: The students are incredibly involved in the athletics and school spirit is very high. The teams generally perform really well and the fans are extremely supportive. The facilities are very nice and the athletics are always enjoyable.

Overall Experience: I've taken many challenging courses with some of the hardest professors. They go very in depth in the material and they want to make sure you know it. Some professors just go over a powerpoint and expect you to memorize everything. Other professors go over problems and try to get you to understand. There is a variety of courses offered in later years. I think freshman and sophomore years have little options for each major. My largest class was probably 80 people or less and my smallest class was probably 15-20 people

Overall Experience: For my major, engineering, we are all required to have completed an internship before graduating. I think business majors are required to have completed 2 internships. I believe a degree from Butler is very valuable. Most students have a job lined up for them before they graduate, mostly from their internships.

Health & Safety: On campus is usually pretty safe. We receive emails every so often about a sexual assault case on campus. If you leave campus then you are not in a very safe place. The streets surrounding campus have a lot of crime. BUPD does a good job of keeping us safe on campus. I usually feel safe walking back to my dorm late at night.

Campus Housing: I lived in schwitzer hall which was disgusting. There were cockroaches and stink bugs in the building. Schwitzer Hall is getting torn down this year, so no future students will have to worry about that. Ross Hall can be kind of gross, especially the microwaves in the lobby. ResCo is nice and Fairview is still being built but that will be nice as well. All the dorm buildings are very close to campus and very convenient.

Greek Life: I enjoy Greek life a lot. There are stereotypes for every sorority but you have to just ignore them all. There are genuine girls in every house and all of the houses are so different. As for fraternities, it is harder to get in since there are only 5 fraternities.

Athletics: Butler Basketball is a big deal at Butler. Almost everyone attends the games and we all gather together to watch our team play during March Madness. Hinkle Fieldhouse is beautiful and historical. It is a great environment to be in. I have also attended soccer games, football games, and baseball games. The attendance is not very high for sports games other than basketball.

Overall Experience: My favorite experience has been joining Greek Life. The Greek community at Butler is very friendly and opening. Joining my sorority has allowed me to meet many new people and have many fun experiences. Butler is unique because many of the classes are so small. In both of my semesters so far at Butler, I felt like I could comfortably go see my professor out of class and my professor would know my name. I felt a personal connection with all of my professors. I felt challenged in every class, and I definitely had to step up my game. After doing so, I achieved so much more than I ever thought I could. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely choose Butler because I believe I am getting the best education I could be getting.

Health & Safety: There are emergency posts all over campus that you can push if you feel unsafe. You can also use DawgRide for free if you don't want to walk alone across campus. Bupd does everything in their power to make students feel safe. I have never felt unsafe walking alone at night.

Overall Experience: I've had great experiences with classes and professors. The only thing I hate is the strictness of attendance. I'm an adult and havi g a percentage taken off of my grade for missing 4 classes doesn't accurately measure my academic success.

Overall Experience: The centers on campus will help you in any way possible to make sure you get an internship during your time at Butler. The placement rates after graduation are astounding and there are multiple job fairs/networking nights held every semester on campus.

Campus Housing: The sororities are a step above the dorms on campus and are much closer to classes. The living conditions in Ross Hall are pretty pathetic but it will be torn down and replaced soon. A new dorm was just built and it's by far the best place to live!

Greek Life: All the houses get along great and have great conjoined philanthropy events. It makes it so easy to get involved on campus and every Greek house understands that school comes first.

Athletics: Hinkle Fieldhouse is historic and has been kept up to date well. It's such a great experience to be a part of the student section during basketball season!

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Welcome week my freshman year is still my favorite experience. I was made to feel that I was already accepted into a community where I knew close to no one. Also was a great bonding experience with my first year seminar class.

Party Scene: Frat houses and house parties happen on the weekends. There is usually multiple places every weekend with few exceptions. And frat houses have parties during the weekdays but it's usually the same ones and kinda lowkey unless it's an occasion. Great ways to meet people and have fun. You don't need to be s***-faced to have fun

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Not very diverse but getting better

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: BUPD keeps us very safe but super strict sometimes on parties

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Professors came about you, courses are enlightening and great, class size is small, easy and encouraged to pick up a minor or double major

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I'm an Arts administration major and Butler has so many connections across indy. This s the same with any other major. The internship and career opportunities here are phenomenal.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: They are building new dorms. The old freshman dorms: schwitzer and ross are just so outdated and old. Don't get wrong I lived In Schwitz and I loved it but they need to go. The new dorm is amazing and can't wait to see the new and improved Schwitz. Very very pricey though

Greek Life: Being in a sorority at Butler is the best decision I made in my freshman year. Greek life is so different here and we all work together to make butler the best it can be. It help you get involved clubs and Butler events such as homecoming and Spring Sports. I am friends with someone in every house and my some of my best friends aren't in mine. It's not cliquey but a way to supplement your college experience, make life-long friends, get involved, etc. But you don;t have to be greek to love butler

Athletics: Buter Basketball... nuff said

Our football team sucks though and people hardly go to games.. usually just homecoming

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love Butler so much. It was the best choice. The atmosphere of a small school is there but with big opportunities. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else the social life, academics, sports, greek life, and Indy are all amazing. They make up such a rewarding experience

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: We recently had a mumps outbreak and I think that was for sure a sign of how campus handles things. There was a lot of ease and trying to make us feel safe.
