I've had wonderful teachers at Butler. Take Webster for Public Speaking, Anthony for Chemistry, Hale for Biology, Zieman for A&P, Dr. Ciecel for Sociology, Bond for Algebra.. heck, just use ratemyprofessor.com. There are so many good teachers! I've had about 3 teachers that were horrible out of my roughly 25 classes I've taken. I think that's hard to beat. The low cost of tuition is hard to beat. There isn't a huge "community" feel to the school, as there are so many students that come and go. As for me, I just want to get my credit and run, so I'm OK with that.

I recently graduated from Butler with an associates in Music while on a band scholarship. The music department is amazing and is still growing and its scholarships are easy to get a hold of for both music and non music majors. They offer full books and tuition to multiple departments for four semesters. I was able to take 96 credits while only having to pay for student fees. It was a wonderful experience to live in their dorms and in El Dorado because of their small town feel. I highly recommend Butler to high school students looking for a place to start their college years.

Being a Psychology major I have to take certain classes like 15 credit hours of Spanish and Developmental Psych. I would say that the work load is rather extensive considering I am a cheerleader at BCC and a resident's assistant as well. I love the facilities provided, they are easy to get around in, and they aren't too big or small. On campus, they have an EduCare facility that acts as a daycare and I would love to get a job there because I want to work with children in my field preferably.
