Bunker Hill is the most affordable Community College in the state of Massachusetts (and I think New England). Not only is tuition a fare price, but you get more than what you pay for. Our tuition covers all of the free opportunities and services offered at BHCC. For example, the Textbook Assistance Program, where students can borrow one free text book per semester. There is also Single Stop, a wonderful organization to help those in financial need apply for food stamps, inquire about other government assistance, and sign up for the food drive once every month. There is also the Dream Keepers fund for students who are having a hard time financially and might not be able to pay a specific bill and that bill will keep them from making it to class. Those students can apply for up to $1000.00 scholarship, this money will not have to get paid back, to help the student pay their bill and continue their education. It doesn't stop there! You can get your taxes done for free, apply for the Study Abroad Scholarship (pays up to 80% of the trip including room & board, tuition, and travel arrangements), the Career Center, Tutoring Center, the free Fitness Center and free personal trainers, all the clubs and organizations, and the disability support services office (just to name a few).

Don't judge a school by the admission experience. No matter where you go it is going to be a pain. It's college. Give BHCC a chance to change your life the way it has others. It is a great institution, with unbeatable tuition prices, and wonderful financial aid packages for those in need. As long as you fill out your FAFSA on time and bring in any other required materials to the school in a timely fashion, you should not have a problem. The only down side to staying on top of your business if having to wait in the long lines at admissions, the financial aid office, and the student payment office. As I stated before, that is just part of the college experience.

Professors Know Their Stuff – Despite the school being a community college, from my experience all the professors have careers and many life long experiences in the field and they know their stuff! They make the class interesting with their experience and trying to get us involved as well. They always ask clarifying questions. They pit them selves out to help the students and just do whatever they can for the interest of the students.
