There is a good variety of off-campus dining options in the area for when students need a break from Salmo. However, you will need a car to get anywhere off campus except for Parente's Restaurant, which is a favorite for Bryant students (mostly for the bar, but the low-priced comfort food is very good, too) because it is right off campus. Everywhere else is at least a few miles down the road. Lincoln Mall and the Crossings at Smithfield have a number of popular restaurants, such as Asia Grille (popular for its low prices, large serving size, and Scorpion Bowls), Chili's, Uno, and Panera Bread. Another area favorite is J's Deli, which is about three minutes from campus and offers more sandwich options than you will know what to do with.
Providence offers an even greater variety of options, and many students take advantage of these by driving or taking public transportation (the RIPTA or BTA) to areas like Thayer Street, Federal Hill, or the Providence Place Mall. Although Providence is probably best known for its great Italian food, there are also some great Chinese, Indian, Lebanese, and even fondue restaurants within these areas. Providence is a more popular choice on weekends, when students have less homework and are more apt to make the 20- to 30-minute trip. Students who prefer to order in can choose from an assortment of Chinese, Japanese, and pizza restaurants that deliver to Bryant until 1, 2, or even 4 a.m. Most of these slip fliers and menus under your door regularly, so you have plenty of options to choose from. Ronzio Pizza is usually the fastest order-in option, as it has a location on campus.
