Meal plans at Bryant come with a combination of meal swipes (7, 10, 14, or 19 per week) and dining dollars (varying by meal plan). Swipes can be used in Salmanson Dining Hall—better known as Salmo—which offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a buffet-style arrangement. Salmo has a variety of options to choose from, such as an assortment of entrées, pizza, a vegetarian and vegan section, stir-fry, sandwiches, salads, pasta, and desserts. Students love themed days like "Buffalo Chicken Patty Tuesday," "Taco Thursday," and "Chicken Nugget Friday." In addition to the fairly new and ever-popular stir-fry bar, Salmo recently upgraded with new plates and silverware, a better salad bar, and other small additions (e.g., flavored butters and bread at the soup station), which has gone over well with students. Salmo offers a variety vegetarian and vegan options, as well as a special refrigerator filled with gluten-free, lactose-free, nut-free, and other diet- and allergy-sensitive foods. Nutrition facts and examples of balanced meals are displayed throughout the dining hall.
Dining Dollars can be used at South Café in the Bryant Center, Café a la Carte, and Bulldog Bytes Café. South Café and Café a la Carte are most popular for drinks, snacks, and baked goods. Students can also use Bulldog Bucks or regular money at Scoop, a mini-store with beverages, snacks, and ice cream, or at the on-campus Subway or Dunkin' Donuts. Bryant offers a lot of dining options for a small school, but they get old rather quickly, so students are usually pretty excited about becoming seniors and having their own kitchens in the townhouses.
