Overall Experience: The security guards are a little old to be working there, I haven't really learned anything in my classes, my teachers are forgetful and don't know how to actually teach the students, I didn't get a lot of information on my financial aid and I had to take a class that I didn't need.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The class schedule is very reasonable to still have a life outside of school.

Career Services: This school is amazing especially with the career and job center.

Academic Experience: I major in nursing. The program and the schedule for the classes is very cooperative with people that work and have children. The college provides internship within the program and job opportunities after graduation.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: This college has a few problems not a whole lot especially in nursing.

Campus Resources: The campus look amazing. The admissions and financial aid representatives is very helpful. The students seems friendly.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: It is not very challenging. With that, the school is on probation through the AVMA about accreditation, so it also scaring everyone on campus. If the campus is on probation, then it makes it seem like this school is not living up to the standards of other schools possibly.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: There are a lot of courses provided here at this school.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: There are plenty of resources on campus and they make it known that there will always be someone on campus to help you along the way towards your degree

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid department at Brown Mackie College - Louisville is no different then the loan department of a used car lot. They are good at getting you loans, but they are terrible at educating students about the terms of repayment of these loans. They will get you every dollar they can to pay for their sub par education, but they could care less if it is ever repayed. I was ripped off by their loan department to the tune of $4100 for classes I never attended! I attended 22 straight months of classes, then was unable to be placed in an externship which was to be provided by the career services department. The career services department gave me a failing grade for my externship, which never even happened, then charged me for the course in full. When I made a fuss about it, they said "no problem, we will take care of it. go get more loan money to finish your last 2 courses, and we will give you an externship for free". Not what happened. So I go to financial aid and take out loans for the next quarter. The loans are dispursed, and I recieve my schedule for the next quarter with the externship on it again. So I check to see how the loans were dispursed, and they have me paying another $1300 for an externship which I was supposed to have already taken, and was told would be free due to their staff's inability to place me the first time. So I go to the dean say look if this is not taken care of I will sue the school. She says ok we will take care of it. 2 weeks into my final quarter before graduation still no credit telling me that the $1300 in loans have been given back to the loan company or myself. So then some genius at the financial aid office tells me if I drop out before the 3rd week of the beginning of a quarter then all the loan money will go back to the loan company and I would not be liable for the $1300 dispursed. So long story short the career services department stopped me from graduating college. Unbelievable.

Career Services: Career Services Center was one of the main reasons I chose BMC. As an older student, I felt I needed all the help I can get to be placed into the job market! I've not graduated yet but have gotten help with my resume and looking for part-time work.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: BMC is really not set up to have much of a campus. Focus is on the programs.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: It is very diverse especially with age and stage of life.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I can request changes and get results, its pretty easy to work with folks once you understands your needs.

Academic Experience: Recently we have lost several deans and several good instructors. So far I'm not noticing much of a difference but new staff is needed to finish my program.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I love what I'm learning, it really fits me.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: We really don't have online courses but we do submit assignments sometimes and receive email that way.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Attending a for-profit institution makes tuition higher for everyone, which creates a culture of the institution doing all it can to retain students. Since I've been in business before I see both sides and it takes creativity to create balance. The financial aid or financing department can be a bit rude. I know students can be irresponsible but the college financial staff could be more considerate. Sometimes I feel students get hounded to come into financial aid to often. We might receive a notice to "re-package" next month but get hounded to call and set up an appointment ASAP. The Intuition will use the sign-in rooster as leverage stating you can't until you speak to financial aid. I'm not missing class to go speak to them, ever. That lack of consideration is not appropriate.
