Academic Flexibility: As much as I love the classes offered at Brooks, a lot of the times for some classes I kind of wished were a little bit more thought or chosen a different times. Currently, I am in English and the disadvantage is that it is a night class. Personally, I wished English was not offered at night because I think a lot of students are more daytime-oriented wise since they focus more. I just speak from observing. I'd rather do a lot of morning classes and take the rest of the day off than having to go to a late evening class to put a more perspective. I am okay with doing it and its not like I am failing or anything, most of it is just personal takes. I tried to see if there was another session offered and there wasn't any so I had to stick with what I put down going forward.

Career Services: Before coming to Brooks, I had a great experience with the academic advisors as they sat down with me and helped me understand applying to Brooks and go through the paperwork. It was instructive and very detailed as I was more than satisfied with how smoothly transferring from high school to college has been. They made me feel comfortable and settle in faster.

Overall Experience: Teachers are very good and have a lot if not the best, at knowing photography. This is a school where they are dedicated and serious about excelling their students in choosing a photography career. While at the same time, they teach the fundamentals and technical aspects of photography. Its not so much about taking photos, its more about making photos. All of them speak volumes of that in the assignments they give. I haven't had an issue with my teachers and like them a lot. I always hope to maintain a good connection with them throughout my years.

Overall Experience: I aim to be a film director when I graduate from Brooks. I believe that photography makes a great film. There are endless connections to the professional industries which makes Brooks a powerhouse to getting a job elsewhere while not at school.

Academic Experience: Professional photography is my current program that I am enrolled in. The workload is not as easy as it sounds, the minute you walk in, it becomes a "professional" mindset, atmosphere and world. You are no longer an amateur anymore, you are here ready for the work. Ultimately, it is a great way to get used to, cause it is the world. On campus, there is practically everything a photographer could ask for. We have a checkout, studios, soundstage, and faculty offices that become so useful. The teachers are great, can be hard at times, but are so insightful and teacher you the right way. Being close to Santa Barbara is a life-saver, because at times, we have to go to Samy's for equipment for class which is a great resort for us because we are in association to one store. The pro photo program goes as high as masters, which is my goal.

Overall Experience: Brooks is a fantastic school and is a private environment, but you need to be passionate about photography or film or which art program you decide to be a part of. I am only a semester and a half into my Brooks career, but I am finding my rhythm and have settled into the routine of my schedules. The teachers are great and very insightful. They push you and do what they can to milk the best out of you. Sometimes it is a bit tough, but if you think about everything in the long run and what you want to be, the ultimate goal is worth achieving when you know you can do it. Brooks is the best photography school that I have seen and read about in my lifetime. I enjoy it here and to be able to be surrounded by others who have the same ambition, is the best. This school is for those who care deeply about their photography or film. If you are passionate, it will be a great walk and a great experience.

Student Body: Some heavy smokers on campus, but the majority of the population is really focused on learning the most they can about Photography or Film or whichever program they are in.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The amount of attention from teachers and the amount of material being covered is worth the cost! Even though it is 9000 a semester, it still makes up for the all the new tools that i am learning and how i will become successful in later careers.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Sometimes the financial aid does lack in being helpful and timely, but when it comes to friendliness, they are very high up there.

Academic Flexibility: Some things are difficult while others are all too easy, it is always different.

Campus Resources: I have equipment I can use, a small library to go too, plenty of labs I can use at any time, and plenty of tutors that I can call for help.

Academic Experience: My major is difficult, and my professors push hard to make sure that I am ready for the real world as a whole.

Student Body: I go to an art school. My school is made up of the misfits, and we fit perfectly together like a big puzzle.

Overall Experience: Everything is awesome and you get the training that you are looking for, however you also really do have to give your all in order to find success.

Academic Flexibility: It hasn't been that good...brooks institute you got to go to class because if you miss one you'll fall behind..and sometimes I would have to miss because I was having car problems and I live like 20 minutes away
