5 College Junior

Overall Experience: This school has great options to finish your core classes. The class sizes are smaller which is helpful with knowing your professor and peers on a much better level.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have not been aware of any employers recruitment. I do know they offer many universities to recruit students to transfer to their universities.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: This school is a great place to take core classes. They are smaller sized classes which helps in engaging in the class and therefore paying more attention. This helps in the success of the student in their classes.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I believe that the school is very helpful with providing enough flexibility and options to help their students succeed.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I am currently enrolled in two online courses and it is super convenient for me because I have a full time job for the summer so the fact that I can finish on homework on my time is perfect for me. This way I can organize my work and school schedule.

3 College Junior

Career Services: They have great ways that help their students try to figure out options for students whether it is transferring or trying to find a job for them.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: So far I have been focusing mostly on my core classes. I have started introducing classes for my major like economics and other business courses. Hopefully when I transfer to a university I will be taking more courses focused on my major.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Very easy although it took time because someone has to individually add and review my transcripts.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I believe i will get all the tools and education i need to further my career.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: A traditional classroom experience confines you to your seat for scheduled periods of monotony, but the virtual campus features I've experienced allow a great deal of freedom in timing and access. They really are perfect for people managing multiple things on their workload. Some friends of mine have no trouble taking two or three class a summer along with working a part time job.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: I've never been to the career center, but some friends off mine say that its a good place to get started. I've seen signs regarding their alumni network, but haven't had the chance to look into it. The transferability of credits to nearby UT schools is great, and I presume the same can be said in regards to most of Texas's educational institutions.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: There is a huge amount of flexibility with classes and curriculum. You have to apply early for the time you want though. If the time you want gets filled up with the maximum number of students, you'll have to go with your second pick! Be sure to complete enrollment or you'll find yourself in a difficult, but still manageable position in regards to keeping your graduation on track.

4 College Freshman

Online Courses: The online classes offer plenty of resources and great accessibility. Teachers are friendly and understanding, and the work load is very manageable. Things work great, and you are never locked out without cause.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Class sizes tend to be small, and tests tend to be easy as long as you pay attention. Some of the more demanding classes like government may require you to write frequent and extensive essays, but put in the work and you'll be absolutely fine. The professors are engaging and have a lot to offer in their respective fields.

Overall Experience: Brookhaven is a great place to test the waters, meet some like minded people, and figure out your direction post high school. I suppose your experience might vary according to the classes you take and the students you talk to, but generally you'll meet a few people who can point you in the right direction and/or give some really helpful career advice.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Honestly, I haven't gotten a chance to take actual classes related to my major yet. I'm still concentrating on getting the rest of my high school credits and removing those pesky core credits everyone has to take. Still, Brookhaven's advisors have been very helpful at helping me stay on track.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: As far as community colleges go, Brookhaven is great because of its low key atmosphere, helpful staff and friendly students. There was a severe mix up with my schedule recently and I had no idea who to talk to about it. Luckily, a nearby student heard me ask a clerk some questions and offered to show me to some advisors he thought could help me. After that, everything was straightened out fairly quickly. Brookhaven College is a great and friendly place to get college credits out of the way. Don't let the laid back atmosphere fool you though. Brookhaven may be a community College, but that doesn't mean the professors don't take their jobs seriously!

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The hours for lectures are perfect with my work schedule. Working full time while taking full time classes is a lot of work but it's manageable

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I enjoyed my psychology class the most so far due to the professor's lecture style keeping my attention throughout the entire class.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The direct link Brookhaven has with major Texas universities is great allowing me to transition to a university much smoother when obtaining my bachelors degree. Also they hold a job fair every spring semester which is great when trying to find internships or just a side job to pay the bills.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: So far I am enjoying the required classes and have had little stress making it easier to keep up. I enjoy critical thinking challenging courses and I look forward to taking philosophy in logic as well as improving my written and oral communication skills.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I enjoy going to the lectures and all the professors I've encountered have been very helpful and keep me interested in the content. Very clean and organized campus. The only thing I dislike is the subway that is located on campus, not a very healthy food choice considering the ingredients found in their bread is also found in yoga mats.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have been able to schedule classes around my work schedule. I will however say that I wish they had more of a variety of times available for certain classes. For example, chemistry classes require lecture AND a lab so I can only dedicate two days out of the week for that class. I didn't sign up for general chem 1 in the fall because of that situation.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: The inly bad thing is that you have to really keep yourself on track. No one is there to hold your hand to remind you to do your chapter readings and plan a schedule. It's all on you; it's more time management but it's good quality.

5 College Junior

Career Services: The school website has information regarding plans for associate degrees and transfer help. There is also plenty of that information available on campus.
