5 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The library is awesome! Students love to hang out there. It's a great place to meet new people. The atmosphere is quiet, but not boring. If you stay until closing they have a tradition of blaring the most obnoxious music!

Campus Quality: The school is well maintained and beautiful. The social life is exceptional. It's easy to make new friends because most of the students have high moral and academic standards. I love the professors. They are personable and funny and make learning interesting and fun.

Overall Experience: I thoroughly enjoy going to BYU. It is a fantastic university with much diversity in its students and teachers. By being involved in the community, I have been able to learn so much about the world around me just from the people I have met. Because I go to a religious university, education is coupled with spirituality and has facilitated my learning greatly.

Off-Campus Housing: It's so nice to live off campus. It's really easy to find good housing and is relatively cheap.

Diversity: There is pretty much no diversity here. Pretty much everyone is white middle class.

Administration: The strictness of the campus honor code helps students to keep them from getting into bad things (i.e. drinking, drugs, etc.)

Campus Housing: I love my apartment and have loved living in campus housing. My apartment has a lot of space and gives all of us roommates our personal bubble. People in my apartment complex don't really come out of their apartments a ton because they are so nice, so the socialization aspect is not as good, but I still love being here.

Scholarships: Because there are so many students here, it's hard to get a scholarship, but the application process is easy.

Technology: The internet is super slow, but you can almost always find access to a computer and a printer on campus. It's nice to have your own computer because you can take it to class with you and you also don't have to worry about finding a computer on campus if you're in a hurry to get something done. Plus you can have it at home so you can use it whenever you'd like.

Local Area: There's stuff to do off campus but we often end up doing the same things over and over again.

3 College Student

Guys & Girls: Everyone is super friendly here. Strangers will talk to you like they've known you your whole life and it's nice. However, people can often be judgmental and fake. Sometimes it feels like everything is a competition.

Campus Quality: Teachers are amazing here. They really care about each individual student. They try to focus more on students learning the information and not just getting an A, but still make getting an A achievable. We also have a really good Honors Program that some people participate in to challenge themselves. I love the wholesome atmosphere here and how positive people are.

Campus Quality: There are plenty of places on campus for students to study and get together to hang out. There is a huge gym that anyone can work out in and there are tons of facilities for staying healthy. The library is huge and super helpful- easy to get lost in though.

4 College Student

Party Scene: Everyone has good clean fun. We do party, but it's not the kind of partying most college students would do. We go bowling, play board games and watch movies instead of get drunk and do drugs, etc.

4 College Student

Parking: You don't really need a car on campus. You can walk just about everywhere and it's not too far. There are lot of parking places and plenty of parking.

3 College Student

Weather: It was okay for the first few months of college, but since the snow has come it's extremely cold!

4 College Junior

Campus Food: If you have a meal plan, the Canon Center is the best, hands down. There are a few good fast food places as well.

3 College Junior

Diversity: The school attracts middle class, white LDS people, and it's obvious.

5 College Junior

Majors: My major is relatively easy to get into, all you do is go sign a piece of paper. But I heard that it will probably become more difficult as more and more people are joining.

4 College Junior

Majors: I just declared Manufacturing Engineering and Technology as my major a few months ago, and so far, I've had nothing to complain about. I have enjoyed the hand-on aspect and the tours of some manufacturing plants, such as Boeing.

5 College Junior

Campus Quality: The Honor Code really creates a good, trusting environment. Exceptions are rare.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: There are good opportunities for free activities and free food, and they're usually pretty decent. The library has consistently been one of the best in the nation.

4 College Junior

Technology: If you know where the various computer labs are (and not just those in the library), you'll always find open computers.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: It's so safe that the University Police pretty much just enforce parking and the "no biking on campus in the time between classes" rule.

1 College Junior

Scholarships: Unless you've got an incredible gpa, or you're some sort of a minority, good luck finding any kind of financial help.
