Off-Campus Dining: Provo has one of the largest selections of foods of any small college towns. Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Mexican, Italian, BBQ, Indian, Peruvian, and more are all within 5 minutes of campus. There are tons of familiar restaurant chains, as well as any fast food you would want. My preference are the family businesses that have been in town forever.

Technology: Very Reliable – There's tons of computer labs on campus. Sometimes they're really busy, but for the most part they're very reliable and you can definitely get by without your own computer

Overall Experience: Its not a walk in the park but its challenging in a good way.

Party Scene: Good Clean Fun – There are no Bars, no scandelous clubs, which suits the student body at BYU just fine.We do have our share of fun though, its just not dirty fun.

Diversity: White Mormon Students – BYU is made up of mostly white, mormon students. Of course there are some minority groups but not many. I fit that category so i dont feel like it effects me much.

Scholarships: It Was Great – It was esay to fill out the information online. I had to write a few short essays and fill out some information.

College Student

Administration: A Code of Honor – Breaking the BYU Honor Code could result in suspension from school. The policy is strict, but all the students have agreed to live by it.

Drug Safety: Drinking Danger? No Way. Brigham Young University has no tolerance for drugs and alcohol. Every student agrees to live by a code of ethics which requires students to live free of addictive substances.

Scholarships: I have been trying so hard to use the scholarship that I have got, but because I needed to stop classes during Spring and Summer, I cannot get any scholarship. It makes my life so hard because I do not have money at all to pay for school this semester.

Technology: Printing Problems Most of the Time. I do not have a notebook, and it helps that I really need to get a good service from the computers labs. Most of the time the internet speed is good, but the printing service is just so bad. The school do not offer as much as needed computers to all of us, and sometimes we need to wait for people to finish their homework.

Academics: Marine Biology Is a Great Filed Here in Hawaii – Living in Hawaii give to the Biology students a great chance to study a great variety of plants and animals, and it in my opinion is really helpful. I believe that those who are looking for the chance to work with marine biology, no doubts that Hawaii is a great place to do it.

Transportation: The Campus Is Our World – Getting around the main campus can be very difficult. Due to the fact that modes of transportation other than walking are very limited, you can get very worn out. It gives you the exercise though!

Local Area: Only at Provo – Due to the religious background at Provo and the main university, Brigham Young University, it is perfect for those who seek to separate themselves from the worldly vices that are rampant in other schools. Students adhere by a strict code that forbids them from using drugs, engaging in pre-marital sexual activities, and wearing immodest clothing.

Diversity: Living on Campus – The dorms are a great place to live your first year at BYU! You get a social, safe, fun, all-around fantastic atmosphere. The RA's are helpful and caring and even though space is limited it is set up SMART. If you figure out the system you have plenty of room for all your things.

Campus Housing: Living on Campus – The dorms are a great place to live your first year at BYU! You get a social, safe, fun, all-around fantastic atmosphere. The RA's are helpful and caring and even though space is limited it is set up SMART. If you figure out the system you have plenty of room for all your things.

Party Scene: Stone Cold Sober for Several Years Running – BYU has a very different nightlife than most schools. There aren't many bars, and it's against the honor code to drink (ie, you'll be put on probation if you do). Most of us love it that way, and we think it's great. In place of bars, we have tons of clubs (as in campus clubs), intramural sports, dances, and school-sponsored events to go to.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Huge Football and Basketball Fans – The most popular sports at BYU are football and men's basketball, but our men's volleyball team is also very big. As such, those tickets are a little bit more expensive, but there are plenty of sporting events that are cheaper. Because it is such a large university, we have a wide array of collegiate and intramural sports.

Campus Food: Dining Plans or Individual – Meal plans are only required if you're living in dorms with no kitchen. Otherwise, you can get a plan or you can just buy and make your own food. The cafeterias aren't bad, and there is a variety. I'm not a fan of meal plans, but some people love them.

Weather: The weather here is fairly mild. When it does snow, they shovel the walks right away so that, and life just continues on as normal. The weather rarely leads to a cancellation of classes which is nice.

Guys & Girls: For the most part, everyone is really friendly and accepting of one another. While we are not known for our diversity, it is definitely present here, which is good. We like to do fun, random stuff for entertainment.

Campus Quality: Extremely Well Kept! The facilities on campus are extremely well kept and taken care of. The library is huge and has so many places to study and so much material. The student center is also extremely large and has many resources available. The only thing I wish, is that they had a larger fitness center on campus for students.

Campus Quality: We have devotionals/ forums every week speaking about a particular subject or a religious topic. They are always very interesting and insightful.

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Next to None – Drug use can happen anywhere, but BYU has a smaller issue with drug use than most universities, because it asks the students to agree to uphold the Honor Code, which includes not using drugs, based on the beliefs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Are Pretty Good – As always, all apartments have their positive and negative points. Available off-campus housing for Brigham Young University is in pretty good condition, but there is usually a couple aspects of each apartment that is not ideal; that is life though.

Health & Safety: Safe Environment – I have never felt unsafe on Brigham Young University's campus. There are very few serious issues on campus, and even little issues are not very common. Campus Police do a great job keeping things in order.

A BYU experience is unlike anything else. The things that you will learn go far beyond what is taught in the classrooms, and the people that you will meet are exceptional. Researching the school, and being familiar with the rules and expectations of students, will make the transition smoother and help you get the most out of your BYU experience.
