Academics: The academics at BYU are great. A lot is expected of the students there but the professors are very knowledgeable and so are the TA's. The registration process is painless and easy. BYU has one of the best and coolest libraries in the country. It is a popular place to go study. Often times you will find students sprawled out of the grass studying.

Diversity: There are a lot of students from different countries and I have never seen a problem with the students accepting them. Because it is a religious school it is more conservative in general but there are lots of students with their own beliefs.

Academics: This is a great major at my school. A lot of the professors are involved in research and have published material. They are available to help you out. The workload is average and doable. There are always internship opportunities available.

Off-Campus Dining: There are lots of places to eat with huge variety. Most places are pretty low cost and have great environments.

Academics: There are so many programs and always someone available to help. So much diversity :D

Campus Housing: I live in the Wyview Apartments. The social life isn't as crazy as the dorms are but the people there are amazing. It's usually quiet but can also get crazy on some nights ;)

Off-Campus Dining: I dont go out to eat much, but when I do Cafe Rio is the way to go haha

Local Area: Provo and the area around is awesome! If there's not anything going on in P-Town, then there's some awesome stuff to do in Orem (the town right over), especially Disco Skating Saturday nights ;)

Technology: Computers are readily available in both open labs and stand alone kiosks. Most of the computers are a little older, but they run just fine. Occasionally there are some quirks where computers will just log out while you're in the middle of something, but that doesn't happen too often.

Health & Safety: BYU is incredibly safe. There's a culture and attitude where everyone looks out for everyone else. It's not uncommon to see people leaving laptops and other valuables unattended while in the library because they know that everyone will make sure no one bothers it while they're gone. Campus security does a great job of maintaining order without being overbearing.

Guys & Girls: Guys and Girls alike, BYU is the place for attractive people. Girls are all very pretty, and most if not all have a great understanding of where they want to go in life. Guys tend to be strong, type A personality types who like to be in charge. Overall, great selection of both guys and girls.

Off-Campus Housing: There is a large selection of off campus housing available in Provo, and there are varying degrees of quality. There's everything from $250 a month right next to campus to close to $1000 a month for the newer and nicer apartments. As with all apartments, you get what you pay for, but it's hard to beat some of the cheap apartments that are close and convenient.

Health & Safety: BYU is an extremely safe campus. I never feel threatened. Ever. There are campus police and safety services such as an escort service, but I have never felt the need for such services. It's nice to go to a place where crime is practically non-existent.

Campus Housing: Great social life. Very comfortable. Wyview=low cost.

Academics: The lab for Bioinformatics is amazing, and the people who work in it are extremely helpful and kind. There are a lot of great opportunities and research projects for undergraduates.

Diversity: The majority of the people on BYU's campus are white, and it has the reputation of being a "white Mormon" school. Yes, there are a lot of white people, and mostly Mormons, but not entirely.

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There are no drugs on campus, it is against the honor code, and if there are drugs, it is reported immediately. That is the nice thing about BYU and the Honor Code, it creates a wonderful atmosphere.

Majors: I love my program. I am planning on going into school administration and there are so many helpful people on campus and so many opportunities.

5 College Junior

Majors: The process was great, it required some work to write all the papers and make the video, but it was fun and applicable. Go Cougars!

5 College Junior

Majors: The professors are great and there are so many opportunities to get involved.

Majors: There are tons of intern opportunities and companies love BYU students.

Academics: I am an Art History major and I think the program is amazing. The class sizes are small and the teachers genuinely care about you and your progress. They ar some of the best art historians in the country. The work load is tough but a good amount, everything assigned is something that will help you, no busy work. The teachers will do everything to help you find an internship and job and all other kinds of opportunities as long as you do your part.

Athletics: There is every sport you can imagine available. Lots of sports I didn't even know existed. Not only does this include sports for viewing- the BYU teams, but there are a ton of sports classes to take for credit and you can rent sports stuff to play with at the sports building. Basketball is probably the most popular because of Jimmer and the team is really good.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drug-use is almost non-existent here. All students have to sign an honor code stating that they won't participate in drugs, alcohol, or premarital sex. That doesn't mean that some people don't break the rules; that happens everywhere, but I would say for the most part that people follow these rules. If you're looking for any of that then this school probably isn't the place for you. I actually like it though; I find that there are better ways to have fun then through those vices. It makes life a lot easier.

5 College Junior

Athletics: People are very enthusiastic about all sports here, especially the football and basketball team. Ever heard of Jimmer mania? The campus is still struck with that. I personally am not a fan of any of the teams, but it's sometimes still fun to go to the games with friends because it's something to do. But don't tell anyone that you're not a fan because they'll jump down your throat (yikes).
