Drug Safety: I have never run into anyone doing drugs, never been offered drugs, and not a single friend I have made at school does drugs. As far as I can tell, the "drug scene" at BYU is non-existent, though this might be a result of who I hang out with.

Administration: BYU is infamous for its strict honor code. While I think that it is a great thing that really helps the students to be professional and not get involved with things that can become addictive and destroy your life, I think it can be a little too strict. For instance, my roommate wanted to work out at the gym right after taking a test, so she wore leggings to the testing center and they wouldn't let her in. That's a little extreme in my opinion, but for the most part it's great. I haven't had much experience with BYU police so there isn't much I can say about that.

Transportation: It's nice because there is a lot of housing close to campus, so for people like myself who don't own a car, walking to school is a breeze. There are buses that go all over and aren't too expensive, especially with the student discount. The new frontrunner train that runs from Ogden to Provo is awesome and it's close enough that I can ride my bike to the station.

Local Area: While Provo is a small town, there is always something to do here. There's always something going on in the city and in addition, we are surrounded by countless outdoor opportunities. The area is incredibly gorgeous and offers the most beautiful sunsets which can easily be viewed high up on a mountain. The locals love us BYU students.

Guys & Girls: The student body at BYU is pretty diverse, aside from the fact that the majority of the students are LDS. We all have our own interests yet we all get along pretty well. We all share the same values which is really convenient in the social scene. I love all the people I meet here and thoroughly enjoy being a student at BYU. I'd love to have more international students here though!

Administration: There is an honor code. But students agree to live by it when they choose to come here, so I dont like it when they complain about it. Parking Police are a beast.

Diversity: Not super diverse. A lot of caucasians. Which isnt bad, but i would like to see more diversity. There are a bunch of international students. They are cool

Guys & Girls: For the most part people are very nice. Bc of the dress code people look put together for the most part. The social life out here is nuts if you get involved. There is stuff going on all the time. All the time.

Weather: Summer time is awesome! utah is amazing in the summer and spring. Fall is nice too. Winter is not my favorite, i hate the cold. But i hear the skiing out here is rad!

5 College Sophomore

Majors: Plenty of majors for students to choose from. Nursing is extremely difficult to get into. Elementary Ed (most girls choose this) is easy.

1 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I'm sure there may be scholarships that I just wasn't chosen for, but come on! It's BYU :full of white people who are doing well financially and the scholarships are most given out by grades. I'm a black female in nursing. Can a sistah get some help?!

Health & Safety: I think that there is a false sense of security that many people have on campus. There are a number of registered sex offenders in surrounding Provo. There are a lot of idiot girls who run at midnight, in the dark, by themselves. Because most students are LDS it leads most people to feeling more comfortable than they should. There have been a number of times when I've felt uncomfortable on dates with guys...You just have to not be an idiot.

Parking: Parking is awful. BYU Parking Enforcement is awful. If you can avoid having a car don't bring one...

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Food: Honestly, I've had good experiences everywhere on campus. As far as late night snackage and on Sundays, you're pretty limited to Helaman Halls. The deli at the bottom of the Tanner building is definitely one of the best kept secrets. Also, we're gettting chick-fil-a this fall!!!

4 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: We do pretty well! Our football team is a disappointment. But, basketball does pretty well and we have recent national championship lacrosse, baseball, and rugby teams! Sporting events are a lot of fun and there's always a lot of student support for our teams.

4 Recent Alumnus

Drug Safety: I'd be lying if I said that there are no drugs on campus. As an RA in on campus housing I've seen it. However, it's not out in the open and a very small population of the campus actually does drugs. And usually it's more often than not marijuana or steroids.

Off-Campus Dining: There is plenty of variety and they really cater to students. You can find anything you want. It's not San Francisco, but its still fun. You can even drive to Park City or Salt Lake City to get better food if you want (less than an hour away).

5 Recent Alumnus

Drug Safety: There are very, very few drugs at BYU. We commit to complete abstinence when we accept our spot at BYU, but unfortunately some break that commitment.

4 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: They are getting considerably harder and harder to get, but they are generous and fair with the scholarships that are awarded. They try and be transparent about the requirements.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Food: To be 100% honest, I don't purchase food on campus frequently. When I have, the food has been fantastic. The venues run by the university are focused on fantastic food in a comfortable environment. There are fast food franchises in the student center.

Academics: BYU has state of the art facilities for my major!! Also, there are a lot of people to help you with your projects.

BYU is full of opportunities in any major. I have been very impressed with the computer majors, such as mine.

The other students are very helpful as well as the professor assistants.

Love my major and love the school!

Guys & Girls: Love the students at BYU. The students are very nice and helpful.

Religion plays a big part of student life here at BYU. They are trying to be like their Savior, Jesus Christ. With that mindset everyday, the students are upbeat and positive.

Social life is great! Because of the Code of Conduct, one can freely participate without the concern of inappropriate activities.

Parking: BYU is a walking campus. It is really nice that the buildings are so close together.

Most of the students attending BYU, live on or near campus. So the most you need to get around campus is a bike.

A lot of the students just prefer walking.

Since the buildings are so close, there isn't much room to add to the parking. But it would be nice if they had more student parking close to campus.

5 College Junior

Administration: I love attending BYU, because it is a safe campus for everyone. Everyone signs a Code of Conduct contract, that includes no drinking or drugs.
The Code of Conduct contract is included in approved BYU housing. So, there is just a lot of good clean fun!
Love it!

Athletics: BYU really has team spirit! Love going to watch the football and basketball games!

The fan support is fun and exciting to participate in.

Love being a part of BYU sports ! No matter where we play we have a fan base there. Who are just as excited to watch BYU as the students.
