3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The guys and girls here come from all over the states and even the world, so it's hard to pinpoint adjectives. The guys and girls are nice looking, fun seekers, and studious. There are some problems with dress, but for the most part, it is a fun time.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: They are constantly changing the food options. The popular food choices (i.e. Pizza, hamburgers, taco salads) are consistent. They always make the food fresh for you. It is always good.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Most people are latter day saints, but there are a few that are not. There are people from other countries. There are also people from everywhere across the US, both east and west coast. Everyone is very accepting.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are fast food restaurants, but also some small restaurants that I have never heard of before I came here. There's mainly Mexican, Chinese, and of course fast food.

2 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is not much diversity other than international students. It is a mainly LDS community.

4 College Student

Academics: Here classes are small size where we are happy to attend, the campus is great, and most of the professors are very professionals and caring people they make themselves available to help us all in every way possible. Registration process runs smoothly. Classes are fun because the professors create this environment.

Transportation: Student need improve public transportation. More buses running on time.
They have taxi cabs but it is not enough currently. This university have lot students lately who they are in need of better transportation. Good market are not close by so buses are really on demand.

Technology: Personal computer is necessary especially when the labs are busy.
My recommendation to all is to bring your owen computer to school and your life will be easier. Your laptap will be the best with the WiFi provided by the university you'll be fine. Be self reliance and don't depend on anybody.

Local Area: Wow it´s pretty boring, but the student population is fabulous. So many awesome people from all over the world!

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Well this is a church school so ya´ll better behave yourselves! hahha

1 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There is close to nothing that´s really delicious. hahah

3 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Its rated one of the best education per dollar schools in the nation. They only have pretty basic degrees but if that's all you want it'll save a tun.

3 Recent Alumnus

Local Area: If you like dancing there are four types of dances on campus every week and they have cheap theaters and plenty of outdoor activities near by to enjoy. It's a pretty small town though and everything else is 30 min away.

3 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: There are so many students that its hard for there to be enough housing for them. Married housing is a little easier since fewer students are married but their housing tends to be far away from campus.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The university is a private religious school for members of the LDS faith, so those who attend are almost always members of the religion itself. The school is known for accepting non members and all races and political views are welcome too. When it comes to sexual orientation, they are accepting of these individuals, as long as they abide by the school rules. The school will pretty much accept anyone as long as they work hard and follow the rules.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: There are student apartments that literally surround the school, so you can walk or ride a bike to campus with no problem. Some apartments provide free transportation to and from the school. I don't know how much school transportation costs because I've never needed it. Like I said before, most students without cars or motorcycles walk to school.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I love my major and I know that the classes that I have to take for it will help me in the long run. The teachers are very helpful and can answer any question you can throw at them.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: There are things to do in Rexburg, but most students go to Idaho Falls for more shopping choices and things like that.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There are many students from many parts of the country and the world. It's easy to become friends with these people because they're so interesting and unique.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: Because of the high moral standards and honor code, drugs and alcohol are not big issues at all!

Campus Food: I don't eat on campus much, but what I have eaten is pretty good. The quesadillas are the best!

Technology: Computers are decent, sometimes it can be hard to find one though.

3 College Junior

Academics: The early childhood special education program is great. The teachers are very friendly and helpful and there is not a whole lot of work load.

3 College Junior

Technology: Pretty good, fun fast and there are quite a few labs you can go to on campus.

2 College Junior

Parking: Parking sucks. You have to apply to get parking permits and if you don't have one then you get tickets and or boots on your car if you park on campus between 7 and 4. A car is kind of necessary though.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

BYU-Idaho professors and other students take a lot of interest in students personally, to help them achieve their academic goals and improve their overall well-being. They care about how you do in classes, what you have to contribute to the school, and what you're doing besides school to enhance your lifelong learning. The BYU-I experience really becomes what the students make it. Students who just study to get by learn to do the bare minimum with the least amount of effort, and students who want to make the most of their education and learn and grow from being a student work longer and harder in a variety of pursuits that span beyond academics.

It may be hard to believe that there are so many opportunities to develop skills in a given area from attending a little school in Rexburg, Idaho. But just as BYU-Idaho takes huge steps in innovating learning and maximizing resources, students learn to be innovative hard-workers who know how to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Most students who realize the potential they have in being admitted to this school and who take advantage of the opportunities offered here quickly learn how to make their BYU-Idaho experience worthwhile.
