4 College Junior

Campus Housing: They try their best with the housing here. Some housings could improve but as I have said they are nice and have good living availability for people to live comfortably while going to school.

3 College Junior

Athletics: We don't have varsity sports here, just intramurals. I wish that varsity sports would come back so we could play against other colleges. The intramurals though are fun to watch and lots of people get involved in them.

Local Area: Rexburg is a small city with a nice little vibe. You for sure get to know other students pretty fast because it is small town. I couldn't live here though because I just don't see many job opportunities here that I want to do but I do love going to school here!

3 College Junior

Campus Food: I do not really eat on campus that much. I wish though that they would switch out the food and get new options on different weeks. It kind of gets old having the same option everyday.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The housing department is growing. There are a lot more housing complexes being built to provide a home for college students. I have had some issues at place that have a "reputation" that has stood to be true, but for the most part I have always had a good apartment to live in.

3 College Junior

Diversity: There is a good diversity, it is growing and getting much bigger.

4 College Junior

Academics: I have gotten a great education, my workload can be heavy but it is all to help me understand and grow in my major. They teach me very well!

4 College Junior

Academics: They have a good variety of study options, and the registration process is easy and manageable.

4 College Junior

Majors: They have the major that I want to study and I love it!

1 College Junior

Transportation: there is no transportation for the college.

1 College Junior

Greek Life: we don't have a greek life.

3 College Junior

Administration: Honor code will let some things slide and other things not. I think if someone breaks a rule, there should be a punishment for that rule that everyone gets not just one person or the other.

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: I love the campus! It has a great feeling that I have not felt at any other campus. The facilities are great and nice and well kept!

4 College Junior

Campus Quality: They have a lot of different activities for students to get involved in. I think they use their campus and the activities they have very well.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I do wish we had some more options, but Rexburg is a small little city so for what they have it is good!

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I recently had a Honor issue at this school and I felt like the school didn't do much to help out my situation, or stand strong to the rules that they have.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: It's a very small town so you either drive or walk and either one isn't a bad option.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I don't think it's perfect, but I have had people that went through a lot to help me in financial aid. Great office and great staff.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: I don't have a car, but these are the things I have noticed.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: I like the campus a lot because it's clean and small, but not cramped. There is always space for everyone.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: People are very kind and class sizes are small which gives a greater intimacy between students and teachers. I have built great relationships thanks to these factors which I love the most about the school.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: There are no school sports team, it's all student run intramural sports and a very good program. There are all kinds of activities that anyone can join

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I'm a business management major. I have a couple years left but so far I have really learned a lot from the program. The teachers have been outstanding and I love how they are so focused on us getting experience. An internship is required for every student as well as running an on-campus business at some point. The work load is fair and efficient.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: There are often students who transfer because something they want to study isn't offered. The university is still expanding and adding some programs, but for now there are still limitations.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I love my selection of off-campus housing. It has had so much to do with my positive experience at my school

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

BYU-Idaho professors and other students take a lot of interest in students personally, to help them achieve their academic goals and improve their overall well-being. They care about how you do in classes, what you have to contribute to the school, and what you're doing besides school to enhance your lifelong learning. The BYU-I experience really becomes what the students make it. Students who just study to get by learn to do the bare minimum with the least amount of effort, and students who want to make the most of their education and learn and grow from being a student work longer and harder in a variety of pursuits that span beyond academics.

It may be hard to believe that there are so many opportunities to develop skills in a given area from attending a little school in Rexburg, Idaho. But just as BYU-Idaho takes huge steps in innovating learning and maximizing resources, students learn to be innovative hard-workers who know how to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Most students who realize the potential they have in being admitted to this school and who take advantage of the opportunities offered here quickly learn how to make their BYU-Idaho experience worthwhile.
