5 College Freshman

Athletics: There are no school sports only intramurals but it is great. There is so much to do and everyone does it because there are options no matter your skill level

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Very small campus and has a very personal feeling to it with a lower number of students it is easier to get help

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: This campus is probably one of the safest college campuses that I personally know of. I do not know of anyone who is has ever been sexually assaulted on this campus. I feel extremely safe while I am on campus, I feel that no warm will be done to me, even when I am walking around the town. Drugs and alcohol are not an issue on campus, it is a very safe environment.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I really do like this school, the professors go out of their way to help you succeed and do your absolute best. The class size are pretty small (depending on the class you take). A lot of the science classes are more full. I am going into nursing and so a good portion of the classes that I need are very competitive to get into.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Depending on the degree, I think that the value is very high. I do not see very much alumni association with school. I also don't see very many job fairs or things that can potentially help students get a job once they graduate.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The housing all depends on where you live, I lived at Mountain Lofts and I didn't like it at all. The people weren't very nice and the management was mean and really hard to get a hold of most of the time. Depending on where you live, you will have different experiences

1 College Freshman

Greek Life: We do not have greek-life on our campus. Which I actually really like. their isn't any separation between the students which helps our campus be more unified and focus on what is really important.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: We don't have any varsity sports on campus and so because of that, everyone is able to get involved in sport and they are able to play a sport that they enjoying doing, even if they may not be very good at it.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I really enjoy attending school here. Everyone is so nice and so friendly, it doesn't matter if you know the person or not they, they will say hi and ask how you're doing. I love how almost all of the professors are willing to work with you on a daily biases to help you succeed and to help you to do well in their class.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love hoe the school combines gaining knowledge with the spirit.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The school has a high standard of security and morality, and students are held accountable for their conduct. I have usually felt safe on campus and do not familiarize myself with groups who would cause any issues with that security.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The professors care a lot about the students and are willing to help. The class sizes are appropriate and allow for students to really get to know each other and the professor. My experience with the school has been great.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: It is mostly the freshmen that live on campus, but it creates a fun environment for those who mingle with it.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is no real ''greek life'' presence that I notice on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: The school only has intramurals, and they are enjoyed by the students! While there isn't a huge hype about sports on campus, they are utilized as a great way to meet people and have fun during the college experience.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It is a small school, but that adds to its charm! The students and staff are friendly and helpful, and we all work together to create the best college experience.

3 College Student

Athletics: Our school doesn't do any competitive sports, it's all just recreation sports. However, it's strongly encouraged and easily available to anyone who wants to give it a try so that is awesome.

5 College Student

Overall Experience: This school is just a safe environment. It has a friendly feel to it, everyone is kind to one another and has respect for their peers. The faculty is nothing but helpful and encouraging. The campus provides plenty of help for your studies and resources to help you succeed. It's an incredible school.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I like how the school is very spiritual and everyone is always willing to help you with whatever you need. There was an experience were I had to talk to the financial aid office quite a few times and everytime they tried their best to come up with the best solution.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I have really enjoyed all of my professors and all of my courses. They have been extremely informative and the professors are always willing to help. The only thing I dislike about classes is that you are forced to pray for every single class.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I know that there are many different companies who look at this school in particular, just because this school has extremely high standards and expectations of its students and businesses like that.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I'm not really a big fan of sports, but the people in this town would die for their team.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are things I really do love about going to this school. However, there are things I really hate as well. The professors are astounding teachers (at least the ones I have). The classes are interesting and enjoyable and I actually feel like I am learning the material. This is a private school run by the LDS church, and because of this, tuition is extraordinarily cheap. The majority of people in this school are LDS, this itself is not a bad thing if you are LDS as well. However, if you are not a part of the LDS church, I highly recommend you find another school. The culture here is one of obedience. If people find out that you are a "non-member" you are ostracized. If you haven't done everything by-the-book according to their book, they look at you as a second class citizen and treat you as such. Like i said, I love parts of this school, but those parts do not include the people.

4 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: I've had a lot of excellent professors and classes which have influenced and opened my mind to other cultures and faiths.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: I think it could be improved at least for the music and theatre programs.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

BYU-Idaho professors and other students take a lot of interest in students personally, to help them achieve their academic goals and improve their overall well-being. They care about how you do in classes, what you have to contribute to the school, and what you're doing besides school to enhance your lifelong learning. The BYU-I experience really becomes what the students make it. Students who just study to get by learn to do the bare minimum with the least amount of effort, and students who want to make the most of their education and learn and grow from being a student work longer and harder in a variety of pursuits that span beyond academics.

It may be hard to believe that there are so many opportunities to develop skills in a given area from attending a little school in Rexburg, Idaho. But just as BYU-Idaho takes huge steps in innovating learning and maximizing resources, students learn to be innovative hard-workers who know how to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Most students who realize the potential they have in being admitted to this school and who take advantage of the opportunities offered here quickly learn how to make their BYU-Idaho experience worthwhile.
