Diversity: There isn't much diversity at this school, sadly. The most notable race is Caucasian followed by...

Since this is a church school, the beliefs here are mostly the same. With these beliefs comes a conservative attitude.

Campus Housing: This school is exciting for several reasons:

1) The campus itself was renovated a few years ago. It now comes with state-of-the art technology and modern style design.

2) Crime is exceptionally low, thanks to the high standards enforced.

3) Professors are wonder. They are passionate about their field and desire to prepare students for career and family life.

4) The social atmosphere is vibrant. There are many clubs and on-campus activities which cultivate relationships. This is school is fun.

Technology: The internet on the schools computers are much better than trying to use the WiFi.

Off-Campus Housing: Some places are pretty small but cheap. The more expensive, the nicer the apartment.

Diversity: People don't normally judge because someone sins differently than they do. 99.99% of the school is the same religion.

Party Scene: There's not that much going on normally. The school has a curfew that everyone is supposed to keep.

Weather: The weather in Rexburg is very unpredictable. It's always miserable.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: It's something to do if you have any spare time and no job.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: My major is Exercise Physiology. It's a Pre-Med major that doesn't require you to take so many biology classes.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus. The dorms are horrible there.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: Some of the rules are unnecessary such as guys not being allowed to wear shorts on campus and required school approved gym clothes.

3 College Freshman

Technology: It is pretty reliable Though it is not suitable for gaming but that is not really important. So all important needs can and are met.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The sports are a great way to stay in shape. so they are very popular and sporting events are always going on.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The teachers are easy to work with. Classes are hard but not impossible they are the perfect balance.

Off-Campus Dining: It is decent. A good variety to keep you from being bored of the same old place. there is a lot of Mexican food and the Chinese food is iffy.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

BYU-Idaho professors and other students take a lot of interest in students personally, to help them achieve their academic goals and improve their overall well-being. They care about how you do in classes, what you have to contribute to the school, and what you're doing besides school to enhance your lifelong learning. The BYU-I experience really becomes what the students make it. Students who just study to get by learn to do the bare minimum with the least amount of effort, and students who want to make the most of their education and learn and grow from being a student work longer and harder in a variety of pursuits that span beyond academics.

It may be hard to believe that there are so many opportunities to develop skills in a given area from attending a little school in Rexburg, Idaho. But just as BYU-Idaho takes huge steps in innovating learning and maximizing resources, students learn to be innovative hard-workers who know how to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Most students who realize the potential they have in being admitted to this school and who take advantage of the opportunities offered here quickly learn how to make their BYU-Idaho experience worthwhile.
