3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The food is all pretty good! The only problem is that the meal cards don't discount the price and it's a little expensive.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I've only lived in on apartment here at college, but I love it.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Relatively simple and straightforward, but could be better for sure.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: Expensive, but it's delicious! Besides the chinese food, that is. The chinese food is abominable.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: I love it because it's clean and relatively safe!!! Just good clean fun. I hate it when people need drugs/alcohol to have a good time.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I'm a vegetarian, and my mom is a chef. I guess I have kind of high/strict standards, but let's just say I'm not too impressed.

Administration: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

ahem.

In all seriousness though, it's impossible to not break the honor code sometimes. Just live off-campus, try to have good roommates, and don't make too much noise about it. Nobody really cares that much as long as it's simple stuff that you don't make a fuss about.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I love living off campus. There are a lot of option and the prices are pretty great.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of options. I don't eat out a lot but if I do the prices are usually pretty good. There are also deals for students if you are looking for them.

5 College Sophomore

Administration: I think there are a lot of things that are taken seriously on campus which is great. It provides a great atmosphere for learning and it helps keep everyone safe.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I have applied for financial aid in past years and it is a really easy process but there isn't a lot for them to give away as far as scholarships go.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Housing is really easy to find and there are a lot of places really close to campus. The price is pretty good as well and there are a lot of ways to get discounts. The complexes are nice and complex communities are great.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of options and a lot of nice places to stay for a decent price

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of options and all are fairly close to campus

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: I haven't been to any parties, but I've heard of a lot and I've heard they're fun

4 College Freshman

Administration: the honor code is very strictly enforced on campus

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I found the financial aid process to be simple and easy

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: I enjoy eating on campus! The food is good, but sometimes a little over priced.

3 College Freshman

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

BYU-Idaho professors and other students take a lot of interest in students personally, to help them achieve their academic goals and improve their overall well-being. They care about how you do in classes, what you have to contribute to the school, and what you're doing besides school to enhance your lifelong learning. The BYU-I experience really becomes what the students make it. Students who just study to get by learn to do the bare minimum with the least amount of effort, and students who want to make the most of their education and learn and grow from being a student work longer and harder in a variety of pursuits that span beyond academics.

It may be hard to believe that there are so many opportunities to develop skills in a given area from attending a little school in Rexburg, Idaho. But just as BYU-Idaho takes huge steps in innovating learning and maximizing resources, students learn to be innovative hard-workers who know how to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Most students who realize the potential they have in being admitted to this school and who take advantage of the opportunities offered here quickly learn how to make their BYU-Idaho experience worthwhile.
