Athletics: Admittedly, there are not really any big sports, but there are dozens of teams to play on no matter how good you are. They provide clubs, teams and activities for all types of sports. They have facilities for you to work out in as well that are free for students. I love the gym here. I can swim even when it's -10 outside in a warm pool, then run in the indoor track, cycle on the machines, anything I like. I love it!

Overall Experience: I love it here at BYU-I. It's helpful and give me the best chance to grow! Teachers are astounding! The support they give to help you learn when you are struggle is just stunning. I struggle with Math and they give me more than enough help to help me succeed in my struggle areas. The teachers are big on teaching us how to work in the work field. It doesn't feel like a school. It feels like a training ground for life in the work field, family life and all other aspects of life. It's the best!

Health & Safety: I was surprised how safe I felt on the campus. The Spirit that exists here has helped calm me during these stressful times. I occationally see police officers patroling around the campus, as well as military/army men and women. Both of those - even if the military members aren't armed or aren't officers, ect - has made me confident that I will be protected.

Overall Experience: The professors are always very kind and enthusiastic about their courses. They know what they are teaching and are constantly striving to help their students. They aren't push overs, but they are understanding of legitimate problems.

Overall Experience: I am currently set on course for a degree in International Studies. There have been several presentations to include future graduates. I have not been able to take advantage of the career services on campus for personal reasons, but several friends have expressed their happiness with it.

Overall Experience: BYU-Idaho is the best college I could have chosen to attend. The professors and students are dedicated and enthusiastic about what they are teaching/learning. The atmosphere is safe and enjoyable. Being surrounded by members of the LDS Church has strengthened me spiritually, mentally, and socially.

Health & Safety: Students feel very safe walking on and around campus, even alone.

Overall Experience: All of the professors I have had so far have been incredible. They were passionate about their subject and encouraged student learning.

Overall Experience: It's a reputable school and the degree I earn can be used anywhere. However because it is the Idaho campus and not the Utah one, people tend to have the misconception it's s second rate education.

Athletics: We have intramural sports and no real varsity teams. The student organized sports are fun to watch but not that well attended. The equipment is fantastic for all students across the campus though.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It's honestly great. It really is. I can't say it's the best experience of my life simply because of who I am and my reactions to people and social standards set by the campus and also not being able to completely afford to go to school there. However, it's a wonderful campus with great professors and there's a great social atmosphere.

Campus Housing: Some housing is overpriced. My biggest beef is with laundry, I think free laundry would make things alot better.

Athletics: Sports...We have those at our school?

Overall Experience: Not a bad school at all. Slightly annoyed that I learn more about religion than any stated class topic but I wouldn't knock that too much. Good school, Great people, Decent food. Overall a nice place to be

Overall Experience: Many of my professors and the student help center have been very helpful in helping me to prepare to enter into working society. I feel I will be very prepared when I graduate and know that I can easily access the very thorough career services here on campus.

Health & Safety: I always feel vary safe when I am walking on campus both in the day time and at night. There are regular security patrols after the University staff goes home for the night and there are frequent call stations where you can call for security or someone to escort you safely home throughout campus.

Campus Housing: Most housing here is not technically "on campus" but the apartments are very close to campus and work closely with the University. I have heard wonderful things about the housing that is actually on University grounds as well.

Overall Experience: I love BYU-Idaho. It is a school that is unlike most. It has the credentials of a University, but feels much more personal in each of the classes. I have come to know most of my professors very well and I feel like they are always concerned with my success and will do what they can to help me. The tuition is very reasonable, the teachers are great, and the campus is absolutely beautiful.

Athletics: Our school is interesting because we do not participate in intercollegiate sports on our campus. Intramural sports are very popular here however, and provide an excellent opportunity for all students to get involved if they wish. There are a wide variety of intramural sports offered and levels ranging from advanced to beginner.

Health & Safety: The campus does not have a lot of crime or assaults. In fact I did not hear about a single one the entire time. They also have emergency poles that you can push if you are in trouble.

Overall Experience: I would say that most of the professors really care about the topics that they are teaching. Sometimes they fall into the categories where they think their class is the most important, but overall it is good quality.

BYU-Idaho professors and other students take a lot of interest in students personally, to help them achieve their academic goals and improve their overall well-being. They care about how you do in classes, what you have to contribute to the school, and what you're doing besides school to enhance your lifelong learning. The BYU-I experience really becomes what the students make it. Students who just study to get by learn to do the bare minimum with the least amount of effort, and students who want to make the most of their education and learn and grow from being a student work longer and harder in a variety of pursuits that span beyond academics.

It may be hard to believe that there are so many opportunities to develop skills in a given area from attending a little school in Rexburg, Idaho. But just as BYU-Idaho takes huge steps in innovating learning and maximizing resources, students learn to be innovative hard-workers who know how to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Most students who realize the potential they have in being admitted to this school and who take advantage of the opportunities offered here quickly learn how to make their BYU-Idaho experience worthwhile.
