Transportation: Compared to many other schools, availability of parking here is great! Transportation out of town is easily accessible through Salt Lake Express, The school recently adopted an hourly rental car company that will make life really easy for many of the students that don't have cars as well.

Diversity: Everyone is really nice to each other, The campus is fairly diverse. The Dominant religion is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Campus Housing: Living on Campus at BYU-Idaho – Living on campus is okay fr a few reasons, the social life is all around you, you will meet lots of people, and be close to all of your classes. In most cases you will need a meal plan, but it is a good experience overall.

Transportation: Most Common Is Walking – Most students walk, bike or drive cars depending on the distance from campus that they live. Most common is walking since most housing borders campus. Driving is difficult in teh winter because of the snow and ice. Bikes are good all year besides winter. Most places you need to go are near to where you will likely live.

Off-Campus Housing: Off Campus Has a Huge Variety – There is a huge variety of off-campus housing. From run down houses converted into basemens apartments to brand new multi-level town houses... there is a place for every one and every budget.

Campus Housing: On-Campus Is Great – I have had good friends live in on-campus housing and it was great. The upkeep is good and the managers were really nice. Matinence response was fast adn the social scene I could tell was amazing. I would definitely choose on campus housing for Freshman or Sophomore yr.

Administration: Easy to Follow – If you follow the rules and you are living the honor code then everything at the school, for yourself, will go smoothly. When you break a small rule, then you are asked to go home and fix the thing that you broke. Now when you break the larger rules, punishment can be very severe for that individual.

Diversity: All Kinds of People – There are a lot of different kinds of races and cultures around the campus of Brigham Young University-Idaho. We are people from different countries that come to BYU-Idaho and you can easily talk to them about their home country.

Diversity: Accepting and Respectful – I have found that the faculty and students are very accepting and respectful of others values, beliefs, ethnicity, and individual needs. In each class that I have attended, I have seen the students come together as a whole and interact with each other and the professors offer countless opportunities to allow students to interact and teach one another.

Local Area: Never a Dull Moment – The city of Rexburg, Idaho has a small town feel and there is always something fun to do on weekdays and the weekend, including a recently built water park. There is a wonderful facility that has bowling, glow golf, arcade games, pole and movies in the same building. There is also a good selection of shops to visit whether your window shopping or trying on everything possible. Most everyone is friendly and willing to lend a helping hand. If you have the time between classes and study, you will have a great time.

Campus Quality: The facilities at Brigham Young University - Idaho are exceptional! The school is not only concerned with the student academics but also the overall well being of their students. The college has provided state of the art facilities for physical fitness and education which includes weight training and aerobic fitness areas; a wellness center to assist students in accomplishing their health goals as simple or complicated as they may be; a student health center to help when student are feeling a little off.
The library offers free tutoring available to students for every area of study with one on one or group sessions. The student center is a wonderful place for students to meet and has multiple dinning choices in one area and a reasonable price.
Overall the campus is amazing! Brigham Young University - Idaho has a wonderful atmosphere. This campus is well maintained and always in a presentable state. The faculties are always clean and you will find that the grounds are absolutely breath taking, especially the gardens, it is a favorite spot of couples to do engagement and wedding photos. I doubt that you will find any other campus with such a wonderful feel anywhere else.

Campus Quality: My School Is Different Because – Peopleare very friendly and everybody cares about you and you colledge experience, i noticed that the teachers there are willing to help you be better and help you with your grade.
The grate advantage of Brigham Young University-Idaho is that it is only a undergrad school , that means that it is only for under-grad students and it is great because it focouses more on how to make the programs for under grad students better and leaves the students better prepared for life's challenges, works and continuing education as a grad student.
the enviroment is great and people there smile all the time, it makes one of your harder days in school feel alot better when you have peole around you going through the same stress as you are but with a smile on theri faces.
We also have on tuesdays what it is called devotionals and tese devotionals we have speakers from the school and from our general authorities from our church that speak to us and give us council to be better and that is a great motivation that i love.

Diversity: there are alot of people from all aroun the world attending Brigham University-Idaho and it is great!, every semester you meet alot of poeple that speak diffferent languages and they are amazing to talk to.
the acceptance of each person is amazing , idaho people are very friendly and they love meeting new people.
mostly it is LDS (Latter day saints) that attent that school but at the same time there are non-Lds stuents that go there, it is a great place to be and to meet alaot of people there.
the economic backround of most of the students is not very great, that makes it easier to really feel ok that you don't need alot of money to go to school or to attend colledge and plus , people over there don't really care about your economic backround.

Campus Housing: Ricks Dorms Are Great – There are alot of dorms in BYU-Idaho but as i lived in Ricks Hall i will say it is the best you have a great experience when you get there and you have alot of new friends, the space is great and you have the opportunity of meeting alot of people.
the best part of it all is that you have your home very close by and if you forget something you can run very fast and get everything you need . IT IS VERY CONVENIENT!!! i love it the and the cost is average.

Party Scene: Curfew at 12Am – If you're looking for a party school, keep looking. There are school activities and privet parties but usually the students going here live the quiet night life.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Beware of Boys in Skinny Jeans – Our school likes to think it's "very" diverse, and we do get students from all over the world, but the majority of us are of European descent. Overall people are very friendly, not as cliquish as some other schools, and are ready to offer help if you need it. I've noticed that there aren't many overweight students here, maybe due to the spaced out campus being on a hill, everyone keeping fit to find a spouse, or maybe because the gym is the most social place in this town. The downside: the boys here suffer from being a big fish in a small barrel. There are some who have too high opinions of themselves and date multiple girls at the same time without telling them.

Campus Quality: The whole school is very clean and well kept. For the 3 months of the year when the snow melts the Horticulture department is out in full force working on the landscape. In the winter the outdoor steps are heated to keep students from slipping. However during the summer there is always construction going on that makes it a hassle to get anywhere.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Very Diversed – The weather falls into all four seasons perfectly here at Brigham Young University in Idaho. When its summer, the students are off playing water games and going to Rigby Lake. During fall not so much water activities but watching sports and enjoying the comfortable weather. Winter is long and kind of harsh to those who do not enjoy the cold at all. The snow can cause some problems but isn't as bad as it seems.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Campus Life – The Dorms on the campus aren't the best living arrangement that are possible for the students. They are a bit over priced and feel like a Canadian prison but the apartments that are there to rent are all over and close to campus. Each having a variety of options as well as getting the best distance to campus whether it be for married or single students.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Always Helpful – I have seen many schools that have a veterinarian programs at there school. Brigham Young University in Idaho is very helpful and gives the students access to tutors and the teachers are always willing to help if the students ask. The classes there are not too big and class discussions are one of the main points during lecture which helps with the students better understanding the curriculum.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Strong Values – If your religious and have "old school&quot" values as some people say, this is the place for you. Its not just the school, the students themselves choose to adhere to a very high planed set of moral standards.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: Clean Inside and Out – This is a great school in most aspects. Great campus, great professors, great values, great tuition and living costs, are found in Rexburg, Idaho. The only complaint I have is the website. It should be more user friendly, anyone who is not a computer expert may have a very difficult time managing their online account.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It's All About the Religion – We are all the same religion at BYU-I. It's very unique to start class with a prayer and have the topic of the class move from math to relating to a religious topic. I love it.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Walk, Walk, or Walk? If you don't have a car, the only other option is to walk. Everything is so close that it doesn't matter that much if you have a car or not. Cars make life easier, but are not necessary.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The Dorms – The best place to live on campus for girls is Lamprecht Hall. The living space isn't bad, but living on campus had a bad connotation when you tell other people. For some reason people look down upon you for living in the dorms.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

BYU-Idaho professors and other students take a lot of interest in students personally, to help them achieve their academic goals and improve their overall well-being. They care about how you do in classes, what you have to contribute to the school, and what you're doing besides school to enhance your lifelong learning. The BYU-I experience really becomes what the students make it. Students who just study to get by learn to do the bare minimum with the least amount of effort, and students who want to make the most of their education and learn and grow from being a student work longer and harder in a variety of pursuits that span beyond academics.

It may be hard to believe that there are so many opportunities to develop skills in a given area from attending a little school in Rexburg, Idaho. But just as BYU-Idaho takes huge steps in innovating learning and maximizing resources, students learn to be innovative hard-workers who know how to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Most students who realize the potential they have in being admitted to this school and who take advantage of the opportunities offered here quickly learn how to make their BYU-Idaho experience worthwhile.
