Campus Housing: It is fine for now. My room is kind of small but I only go there to sleep so it is manageable.

Greek Life: We do not have Greek life here at BYU-Idaho. I do not think we need it.

Athletics: The school does not have any varsity sports here at BYU-Idaho which is fine but I think it would be great to see them come back.

Health & Safety: I have never heard of any safety or security problems on campus. It is a safe school, and I don't think anyone is at risk. Only those who seeks sexual activities can find them. And that isn't easy to do.

Overall Experience: I have learned so much in my courses here. The Professors have been kind and very knowledgeable. They would take the entire class answering questions if they needed to. I have enjoyed going here and look forward to continuing to attend.

Overall Experience: The school does it's best to make sure that everyone gets the best education, and goes on to be leaders in the world. Everyone knows what is expected of them, and many students go on to do many amazing things. I believe that from going to this school, I will find it easier to get into graduate school.

Health & Safety: Campus administrators, housing managers, church leaders, and students all actively prevent sexual assault. And for victims of it, there's a supportive environment provided.

Campus Housing: So far, living on campus has been great. There are two best options: (1) Living close for convenience and (2) Living further from campus for quality

I went with living close to the university because it's easy to walk to all of my classes. It's for an amazing price, and the people that live there are very friendly.

Overall Experience: So far, I am absolutely loving BYUI. You get out of life what you put in...But at Brigham Young University, I've been given so much more that what I bargained for. There is always an opportunity to be a part of new experiences. And all for the best price, thanks to faithful tithe payers. I'd recommend the school to anyone, especially those wanting to become a better disciple of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Health & Safety: I have not had any problems with the health and safety on campus. They do have stations on campus that you can press a button for immediate help of any harm coming to you.

Overall Experience: I've had a class size with about 100 students and I've had one with 15 students. They both were not terrible but the professor made all the difference. I've had both good and bad professors. I like a teacher who is willing to take time to teach you and care about you not one who is a know it all. I've had a great time with the students they all are very fun and outgoing.

Overall Experience: I have not gotten to the point yet where I need to experience internships. I've heard that it is pretty easy to go through the school and get an internship. Being a teaching major I will not have to hard of a time student teaching.

Campus Housing: The housing can vary widely. It depends on where you choose to live whether you want more introvert friends and neighbors or very social butterflies! The houses are very clean and are cleaned every 3 months or so. Also depending on how much you pay is how many perks and how much space you have.

Athletics: We do not have any large varsity college sports. Our school only has intramurals but they offer a very big variety of different kinds of sports to be a part of. I enjoy the opportunity to also learn new sports and play with both guys and girls on the team.

Overall ExperienceWhat's this?

View student contributors

BYU-Idaho professors and other students take a lot of interest in students personally, to help them achieve their academic goals and improve their overall well-being. They care about how you do in classes, what you have to contribute to the school, and what you're doing besides school to enhance your lifelong learning. The BYU-I experience really becomes what the students make it. Students who just study to get by learn to do the bare minimum with the least amount of effort, and students who want to make the most of their education and learn and grow from being a student work longer and harder in a variety of pursuits that span beyond academics.

It may be hard to believe that there are so many opportunities to develop skills in a given area from attending a little school in Rexburg, Idaho. But just as BYU-Idaho takes huge steps in innovating learning and maximizing resources, students learn to be innovative hard-workers who know how to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Most students who realize the potential they have in being admitted to this school and who take advantage of the opportunities offered here quickly learn how to make their BYU-Idaho experience worthwhile.
