Overall Experience: I don't know how to answer this

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: This school is very religious. There will always be little problems, but this is one of the best schools in the country for morals

Greek Life: I don't know what greek life is

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It is a good place with many honest moral people

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Its important to the students and they are very active, but athletics is not the center on campus life

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Everything is really safe here on campus. The students feel safe walking around at night. There are emergency call booths, but no one has used them that I have seen.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Honestly, there is many things that I really like. Small class size, usually good teachers, plenty of options for classes. However they do push to get graduated within the 4 years, so it does not really leave room for figuring out what one wants to do. And some of the rules are a bit ridiculous. But it is cheap.

2 College Freshman

Athletics: Well we do not have any collage level teams. It is made up for a lot of club sports and activities. So school spirit is defiantly not there, because we do not have anything to rally behind.

Overall Experience: BYU-I is really nice because it is clean, beautiful, and very friendly. I like how the class sizes are a lot smaller than expected. Only about 50 or less kids. The teachers, for the most part, actually care if you are there. And I would still choose this school every time because of the feeling that I get by coming here. I am planning on finishing my degree here.

Academics: You're academics is what you make of it.

Campus Housing: It all depends on where you live and the management.

1 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is no Greek life here at BYU-Idaho.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: I don't really have my focus on the sports here.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love how helpful the professors are.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It is amazing. If you are slightly thinking about it, come its so worth it!

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I'm just a freshman and they are already talking about careers and after college and how to network effectively.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: They don't have teams that compete with other schools. There are teams to compete with in the school. I think those are pretty big.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I really like it here. It's unlike any other University. There is a great spirit here on the campus of BYU-Idaho. I know my classes are going well because of the school I'm at. It is very social too. They have many social events every night on campus. It is so fun and the best school out there!

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors here are incredible. All of the classes I have taken so far have been great. The professors are easy to access and more than willing to take the time for their students. The classes are tough, but a great learning environment and experience. The professors care deeply for the students and are willing to help us succeed.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: We have many chances here to find internship and job opportunities. There are semesterly career fairs and several other recruiting meetings. We also have access to classes involving networking and resume building. There is a center that helps us learn to build networks and resumes and several helpful seminars--for instance, the Power To Become conference.

View student contributors

BYU-Idaho professors and other students take a lot of interest in students personally, to help them achieve their academic goals and improve their overall well-being. They care about how you do in classes, what you have to contribute to the school, and what you're doing besides school to enhance your lifelong learning. The BYU-I experience really becomes what the students make it. Students who just study to get by learn to do the bare minimum with the least amount of effort, and students who want to make the most of their education and learn and grow from being a student work longer and harder in a variety of pursuits that span beyond academics.

It may be hard to believe that there are so many opportunities to develop skills in a given area from attending a little school in Rexburg, Idaho. But just as BYU-Idaho takes huge steps in innovating learning and maximizing resources, students learn to be innovative hard-workers who know how to problem-solve and communicate effectively. Most students who realize the potential they have in being admitted to this school and who take advantage of the opportunities offered here quickly learn how to make their BYU-Idaho experience worthwhile.
