Greek Life: Not big on Greek Life

Greek Life: I would join Greek Life if it wasn't so costly, I can still be involved on campus and in the community without having to join.

Greek Life: This review might not be as accurate when you see this because Greeks will have new housing soon (Fall of 2016 I think). I don't have anything against Greek Life and I see the appeal to it. On top of that, most chapters here are involved in some capacity and do positive things.

However, I do have an issue with the notion that this is one of those schools where Greeks completely run everything. A lot of them tend to have that attitude for whatever reason. That's just not true considering they only make up around 10% of the population as a whole. Again, I'm not trying to diminish the positive things they do. Bowling Green is just not one of those places where Greeks run the social scene all the time. They make it a point to separate themselves from everyone else so how could they say they "run" this school if they only interact with the other 90% when they want new people?

Even with that said, Greek Life in general doesn't deserve the amount of stereotypes that come with it. I just think it's delusional to say that only you can contribute something positive or have more fun because you paid x amount of money.

Greek Life: I am not in Greek life so my opinion is biased. I don't care for those who are in Greek life, especially since you probably won't meet a lot of people who aren't in Greek life. I just don't see an importance in it and don't have that kind of money to waste
