Party Scene

5 College Senior

Party Scene: We have the best, non-alcoholic parties out of any college campus. Saturday morning pancake parties are my favorite. Society parties are also crazy fun.

Party Scene: Bob Jones is not a party school, nor does it have a reputation of that. Don't let the low party life discourage you though. There are many events (even late-night ones occasionally) that substitute as parties.

Party Scene: Much variety - Sports, society, dorm, classes, other friend get togethers - fun!

Party Scene: We don't really need the college "party" lifestyle anyway. Kids are able to spend time with each other as much as they want until around 10:30.

Party Scene: BJU is a conservative school. The word "party" means having a cookout of hamburgers and soda.

BJU is an alcohol- and smoke-free institution. When it comes to nightlife, all BJU students get confused since there is no nightlife at BJU. Some rebellious students might think they can sneak drinks into dorm rooms, but it is not a smart idea, and it won’t work. Everybody is watching everybody. On top of that, resident students have a curfew, which is 10:25 p.m. It is mission impossible for students to party overnight without getting caught. Every night at 10:30 p.m., there is a prayer group for 15 minutes, and all resident students must attend. After the prayer group, RAs on each hall say goodnight to the students to make sure that everyone’s in their rooms. Anyone caught participating in parties will be penalized with a massive amount of demerits, and depending on the situation, can be expelled from the school. At BJU, partying is just not worth the risk.

BJU resident students spend their nights studying, chatting with roommates, or reading. Since BJU is an academically challenging school, most students do not have time to party anyway. A lot of students complain that their weekend flew by because they were doing their homework. If a student is committed to studying hard and does not want any distractions, BJU is the perfect place to be.
