Campus Resources: There is a testing center that has testing information as well as an open computer lab for students to use.

Overall Experience: For students who are attending this school so they can pursue a particular career, the value of their degrees are usually great. I know a student who graduated from my school with a PTA certificate and was able to get a job right away.

Campus Resources: This campus does not have that much i the case of student resources, mostly because it is a community college as opposed to a residential college. There is tutoring that is offered, and it is highly encouraged for students who are having trouble in a particular course.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am on the PROMISE Scholarship, which pays for most of my school's tuition, except for books. Books are generally not the cheapest, and so students can save money by renting the textbook they need or buying them off of Amazon. The tuition for my school is less expensive than in four-year colleges, so I am very happy that I am taking transferable credits for less money than I would at a four-year college.

Student Body: The Student Body at my school is a very diverse one, and professors make the students feel comfortable if they are asked to discuss their race, religion, etc. The best thing is that I have never heard students putting other students down because of their race, religion, etc.

Academic Experience: I am getting an Associate's Degree in the Liberal Arts. This particular degree is designed for students who are wishing to transfer to a four-year college with transferable classes under their belts. The hard thing about having this major is that it is hard to meet students who are receiving that same degree, partly because I am taking more classes than the typical community college student takes.

Academic Experience: My school offers a wide variety of academics options, including English and Math classes in which students can register for without having to take a placement test. Most of the history and political science classes that my school offers are online, but the work in those classes is just as rigorous as in regular classes. I have also enjoyed the science classes that my school offers because the labs, for the most part, usually correspond with the lectures.

Online Courses: Online classes have been different from traditional classes in the way there is no particular time in which I have to participate. However, they are just like traditional classes in the way that I have dates to turn in assignments. I have found that I have no trouble when it comes to submitting assignments I am able to communicate with my instructors via email ad they usually respond in a timely matter, but I have never met with them face-to-face.

Academic Flexibility: My experience at Blue Ridge Community and Technical college has been a great one. I have been able to schedules my classes at times that are convenient for me and I think that most of the classes I've taken will transfer to a four-year college.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Education is the most important aspect of any society. Therefore I could never find expensive schooling agreeable, or any cost, for that matter.

Online Courses: From what I have experienced it is a nice experience.

Academic Experience: Again, as a community college, in West Virginia no less, they are adequate

Overall Experience: There are some excellent teachers and then there are those guys that are here to make money on the side. I'm Not entirely satisfied with the latter, though there are far more competent teachers than incompetent.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: They are more than acceptable, considering they are a community college. I am content.

5 College Junior

Student Body: My fellow students are fun to interact with. It would not be an interesting experience without them.

Academic Experience: The prerequisite offered at Blue Ridge Community and Technical were very educational.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: My overall experience with the instructors at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College has been outstanding.

Campus Resources: The general aesthetics of the campus is great!

Academic Flexibility: You really need to be diligent and quick during registration for the fall, spring and summer semesters at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College since some of the most desired classes are only offered once per year or only one section is opened for registration.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I wish they'd informed me how much my pell grant would decrease when i switched to part-time. Other than that they did help me a lot

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: because my personal schedule is pretty busy and i have to work around my parent's schedule it was pretty difficult for me. Thankfully most of my prerequisites i can take online and they even have evening classes. Blue Ridge is very willing to be as flexible as they can to help you get to class.

Online Courses: At least its great for me. I am taking an online English course and i have to admit the workload is pretty tough, only because i wish more time for big project like research papers and powerpoints were given because i found that after i finished one paper, another paper was due. It was kind of overwhelming because we still have to do homework in between. There is no peer-to-peer interaction at least in this course and i'm kind of glad because i just don't have the time to talk to other classmates. These things can make you miss a regular classroom. However, the fact that i can submit my work early and anytime during the day as long as its not past the due date is a plus. I can even get a head start on other assignments that are due. These unique aspects of online classes are what i really enjoy.

Academic Experience: since i am only attending part-time i'm not getting the full experience but what i am seeing so far is that it is very difficult balancing what i'm majoring in with prerequisite classes such as english and math because it is so demanding. You learn a lot in a small amount of time so your memory has to be good and you have to practice a lot. Since i am in the culinary field they do offer an internship with your program which i think is great. Our facilities at our main center at least is well stocked but it would be nice if our sister building didn't have to transfer materials over there all the time for other classes. Otherwise the instructors are great and very knowledgeable and patient.

Academic Experience: Blue Ridge offers a lot. There are several programs: health, education, business, culinary, art, etc. and i really like that they also have certificate and certification programs as well that are parallel to some of the programs listed above. The advisers are excellent, they go over your curriculum for your specific program with you and then help you make any changes you need to to fit your schedule. Financial aid advisers also work with you while you build your schedule to make sure whatever grants, scholarships or loans you have received or accepted are put to good use. The workload may seem overwhelming, especially for freshmen but you the more accurate scheduling and time management you have the better you'll be able to handle your workload. Blue Ridge also offers special study programs for adult students and students who need special certification or certificates for their field of employment, some examples are nursing, bookeeping, electrical, and computer technology.

Student Body: I feel that the student body at my school is very motivated, there is no campus housing so no frat parties. The reason we are all here is to better ourselves.
