4 College Freshman

Local Area: I'm from Los Angeles, and La Mirada is very similar. The weather is great and it has a great community. It's pretty quiet for the most part, but there are many different shopping areas, restaurants, and activities to go in the area.

Off-Campus Housing: I'm a freshman and still live off campus, but for the people that live off campus that I have met, they all enjoy it. Everyone has had good things to say about the buildings themselves and the resident life as well.

Campus Housing: It is so much fun!

Athletics: Most fans attend the games veraus the rival teams. Sports are important but not greatly followed maybe due to level of division

Campus Housing: Some dorms have better appliances and space compare to others, but its all about community

Administration: Very nice and really are of students!

Overall Experience: They are very friendly during orientation. Most people are genuinely friendly and helpful, others just are durinf orientation week.

Scholarships: Need good grades and constantly bug financial aid. Most times they recommend loans.

Health & Safety: Campus security is always making rounds, and I always feel very safe!

4 College Freshman

Administration: I like the fact that they have specific rules in place that limit activities that would contradict the Bible. But I think the open hours are pretty random.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live in Alpha, the all female dorm and what I've noticed is that almost everyone in there did not request to be there. The social life there isn't the best compared to dorms like Hope and Horton. I do love the size of my room and how much storage space I'm given though!

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: I enjoy going off campus to grab meals with friends, especially in the late hours of the nights. They don't offer student discounts, but the food is great and the cost is relatively cheap.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: They gave alright scholarships. I had friends who attended larger private universities and smaller private universities that received better than I did. But I did a government loan and the process for that was very quick and smooth

4 College Freshman

Athletics: The team spirit is always on par, and the teams seem to do well

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: I feel safe within the Biola parameter however, sometimes the surrounding neighborhood can get unsafe.

Diversity: There is enough diversity in the campus to learn new things. However, I believe there could be more diversity such as international students or just different American students.

Biola boasts an amazing Christian fellowship that's focused on delivering the Gospel, not only to its students, but to the world surrounding it. In taking classes and attending lectures, students feel much more apt to take on the world, not only with renewed and strengthened faith, but also with a professional education.

Biola can be an adjustment. But once you get involved with on-campus jobs and school events, it becomes much easier. After spending time with the students and faculty, you'll come to realize that you'll never find a school quite like this. But it takes a little bit of work at first. Biola's teaching is amazing, and the community is unparalleled. Nowhere else on Earth can students strike up random conversations with anyone and be able to "Facebook-friend" them and ask them to coffee the very next day. If you value your education and want to surround yourself with God-fearing students serving each other and the Lord, then Biola is the place for you!
