Weather: The weather here is sunny almost all of the time. It only gets extremely hot for maybe two weeks out of the year, and probably rains a total of 10 days during the school year. I love the weather here and it affects everything else positively.

Health & Safety: Very Safe – I've never felt unsafe on campus. We have a campus safety that is very proactive and patrols campus 24/7. Campus safety also has a text messaging system that sends the student body a texts whenever there are safety precautions needing to be taken on campus. Our city is also rated by the FBI as one of the top 25 safest cities of its size.

Campus Food: Not Mom's Cooking, but the Closest You're Gonna Get. There is one main cafeteria that serves the whole campus with 6+ stations with different varieties of food. You can also grab food in the two coffee shops on campus or the snackbar-ish Eagles Nest.

Drug Safety: There Is No Visible Drug Scene – Per contract, students are not allowed to drink or do drugs either on campus or off and this rule, though kind of "on-our-honor", is kept pretty well. I have not been a part of, nor seen, this rule being broken myself.

Campus Quality: Weathered With Personality – The campus is halfway built from brick alone which can either be good or bad. There are old buildings with some charm, but there is also the newest and cleanest too. The track and field are top of the line and the weight room is decent. The equipment isn't new, but sufficient. The Cafeteria gets old, but go to a state school and you will quickly realize the food here isn't half bad.

Guys & Girls: Students Are Like Family to Each Other – The students at Biola are all required to be professing Christians and because of this we view each other as family. On the whole, the students are extremely welcoming and kind, whether you are a prospective student or new to a class or just moving to a new floor in the dorms. The student body is pretty diverse in interests and dress, there is no one style that dominates. And, in the dorms especially, there are always activities to be a part of. Dorm room doors on the floors are typically always open and students just hop form room to room after classes to hang out and do homework or take study breaks.

Off-Campus Housing: Housing Varies – Apartments around campus are abundant. The prices vary, but for the most part they are affordable and the general area around Biola is nice and quiet and safe. Biola students have a good reputation with many apartment managers around the area, and have been known to have been given preference for openings. As for houses, renting a house is a little harder to do. Many house owners do not want big groups of students renting, but smaller groups are fine. Biola has a classifieds website where people post housing needs or openings or look for roommates, and there is always a lot to look through on there. On the whole, housing around Biola is reasonably priced and fairly easy to find.

Campus Housing: Housing Process is terrible, but dorm life is great!

Academics: Psychology is challenging, but very worthwhile. It is heavily clinically-based because of Rosemead Graduate School, so unfortunately some of the other emphases of psychology are not very good.

Parking: Difficult to Find an Empty Spot – It's really hard to find a parking spot; sometimes I circle the parking lot(s) for a long time.

Off-Campus Dining: Check Out Panera – It is located at the La Mirada Towne Center. There are many Biola Students who go to Panera. They provide a nice study environment and good food.

Transportation: Although, I do have a car that I own... Biola University provides students who are in need of transportation of cars that they can rent out for a day. The cost might be a bit pricy; however, it is convenient for the students that need it.

Campus Food: Overall, the cafeteria serves a variety for the students; desserts, home cooked foods, grill (hamburgers, quesadillas, etc.) and a lot more. However, when it comes down to quality the chefs or those who are serving can be in a rush. As a result the food are seldomly not cooked thoroughly. Yet, it is a blessing that there are different types for everyones taste.

Technology: Computer Labs – They are easily accessed for commuters who need space to work. However, during midterms or finals the work space can get crowded and can be easily distracted.

Overall Experience: I love Biola! I am free to worship the One and Only true King My Father Jesus Christ! And because they have the best Bible classes ever and the professors really love, care and pour out to their students. For that reason I would not choose any other school.

Guys & Girls: Guys and Girls – You will find people very involved with ministry, everybody really friendly for the most part. If you need somebody to pray for you they will be more than willing to do so. Very outgoing people who are in love with God.

Campus Quality: God-Centered University – Biola is a Christian university that is centered on Christ. We have a Student Missionary Union which is the largest student-run mission organization that we know of. Once every semester there is a week long Bible conference and classes are canceled that week to allow students to focus on God.

Local Area: Wonderful Atmosphere – The local atmosphere is really nice. La Mirada is a beautiful city. Disneyland is a short drive away, and the Brea Mall is up Imperial a few miles.

4 College Freshman

Party Scene: You can stay out on campus as late as you'd like while feeling safe! However, there aren't many parties unless they are off campus, and Biola doesn't commend the party scene... but LA isn't far.

Off-Campus Housing: I haven't personally lived as a part of the off-campus community, but Biola University provides the off-campus opportunity but through Biola itself by owning apartments not even a mile from the cafeteria.
Biola makes sure that the off-campus community becomes just as big of a part of the Biolan community and spirit as the on-campus housing by providing special accommodations on campus where these students can rest, study, or gather in between classes.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The Biola Community reaches out to the surrounding areas. The restaurants and fast food joints accommodate student discounts. Chick-fil-a and IHOP are especially generous by offering free meals to students. Other restaurants and snack shops such as frozen yogurt shops pass out coupons to all students.

Drug Safety: Even though Biola University is a Christian University there are a few students who are involved with drugs. However, it is unseen.

Biola boasts an amazing Christian fellowship that's focused on delivering the Gospel, not only to its students, but to the world surrounding it. In taking classes and attending lectures, students feel much more apt to take on the world, not only with renewed and strengthened faith, but also with a professional education.

Biola can be an adjustment. But once you get involved with on-campus jobs and school events, it becomes much easier. After spending time with the students and faculty, you'll come to realize that you'll never find a school quite like this. But it takes a little bit of work at first. Biola's teaching is amazing, and the community is unparalleled. Nowhere else on Earth can students strike up random conversations with anyone and be able to "Facebook-friend" them and ask them to coffee the very next day. If you value your education and want to surround yourself with God-fearing students serving each other and the Lord, then Biola is the place for you!
