Health & Safety: Campus Safety – Biola has an excellent campus safety program. If you are ever in need of assistance, you can call campus safety and they will be there with in minutes. Biola feels like a very safe campus because of them.

Technology: Our school was originally a mac test lab so it has some of the better state of the art macs, you need to be a film major to get into the best mac computers, but there are always plenty of open computers in the labs, wireless can be not so reliable in some places on campus but most the time its pretty good

Transportation: Carpool Is the Way to Go – I have my own car, which is very convenient for me to have. We find ways to save money by carpooling, and each of us (unless you're the driver) will pay the driver to help them with gas. But if you don't have a car, or know of anyone who does, Biola provides a shuttle people could use to go to church or to the airport if needed, they just have to pay a same fee. If people don't prefer either of these options, they could simply take the bus.

Party Scene: No Partying Found Here – Biola has many events going on around campus for the students to get involved. Some of which take place at night. But mainly, a lot of us hang at the coffee shops or the student building. They recently built a fire pavilion so that we could warm up during the night too. Hanging out in our friend's rooms to watch movies is a typical thing to do as well. You won't find any typical college partying taking place, out of the respect for the community on and off campus. In addition, the school does not want to condone the use of alcohol or anything related to the "party" scene, which I am absolutely fine with! It provides a better atmosphere for the students and keeps them out of trouble.

Technology: Library Provides Excellent Software to Students to Use – Biola University certainly favors Apple software. They even have their own Apple store! So, it does have excellent quality computers available for us to use. In the library, many of the computers are free to use because most students have their own Mac Book to work on. But for those with laptops, it is sometimes hard to find an available outlet to put your charger into.

Party Scene: There Is Not a Lot to Do – There are only parties if you are on the baseball team or a girl, because the rest of us don't want to break contract or deny Jesus in that manner. There are some jazz coffee shops around that are really amazing though and there are lots of concerts.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: No Football – We don't have a football team, so many people are disinterested in the school sports. Our most popular sport is basketball and our team is pretty good.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Good Course Content – The courses have been rigorous, but the professors teach effectively enough to not make it too hard. The professors are also very engaging and interesting in their own ways.

Campus Quality: Campus Aesthetics – The atmosphere at Biola is welcoming. groups of students can be seen discussing biblical truths, intellectual problems, and etc. Shouts of joy and salutations can be heard across the campus. Study groups bury their heads together over a difficult problem. Chapels are engaging.

Campus Quality: Something Unique – Here at biola we have a very unique community of thinkers. We have great faculty that are constantly helping to expand that minds of the students. We have a beautiful campus that truly inspires creativity among the people of biola.

Drug Safety: No Drug Problems – No drugs on campus. Almost no one does drugs at Biola. There is no peer pressure at biola. It is a very safe and up lifting community of believers. The policy on biolas campus I very much in forced.

Technology: Most them are really nice. We mainly have mac at Biola. We have a great computer lab across campus from art labs to the production center each room is filled with quality equipment. The printing in the library is great and easy to use. As well we have a great on campus printing lab.

Scholarships: Very expensive school. However, financial aid does help a lot. I wish the school offered me more grant money. Not sure if the money I pay will be worth it after 4 years.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Drug Free Is the Way to Be! Very little drug abusers on campus. Out of the few thousand undergraduate students, only a few dozen at the most may be light drug users.

Local Area: Friendly & Safe – The city in which Biola University is located in; La Mirada, California, is a great and friendly environment! Near by world famous attractions such as Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm and much more!

Weather: Southern California Beauty – The weather in Southern California is extremely tolerable, and rarely harsh. This beautiful weather makes for a nice atmosphere on campus, with students studying, reading, eating, and playing games, outside. Rarely are students not doing these things, in fact. Sometimes the students can even convince their professors to have class outside!

Diversity: Throughout my time at Biola I have come to find that diversity is something that is valued on campus. There are reconciliation chapels each week, which aim to reconcile the differences brought up by diversity and encourage students to embrace diversity on campus. Diversity is so important to Biola's campus that when administration heard the unrest concerning a Jesus mural on campus in which Jesus was displayed as white-skinned, the campus held a meeting to discuss the issue. The campus attitude seems to be very accepting of diversity, as far as culture and ethnic variety goes.

Health & Safety: Campus Crime – Although Biola University is in a safe neighborhood, there have been a few incidences which might make a student uneasy about safety. Simple things like theft, vagrants on campus, or.whatnot However, the campus safety officers at Biola are phenomenal, and do a great job at keeping students informed and advised about safety on campus. Students receive texts or calls whichever they prefer (as chosen in registration) as well as e-mails, which allow them to stay up to date with what is going on in and around campus, and the ways they can keep students safe. Despite the few instances of crime, I have never felt unsafe at Biola. There are always campus safety officers wandering the campus, and the information students receive really contributes in making the campus feel safe.

Overall Experience: Relationships Just as Important – My major is Intercultural Studies which is a very relational major. I learned so much about and grew so much in regards to relationships this semester. I learned more about myself and others. I had a whole class of hands on activities on how to adjust intercultural and interpersonal with different types of people and cultures. I grew a great deal for the better and I love Biola and the people there because of it.

Health & Safety: Biola University is a very safe place. I don't feel uncomfortable walking around campus at night by myself from library to my dorm or where ever I'm going to. There is always campus safety taking rounds. Just remember to lock your doors and don't leave your valuables laying about to prevent theft.

Campus Quality: All You Need in the Library – Do you like studying by yourself, with others, inside, outside, while eating, in a comfy chair? Well no matter how you like studying the library at Biola University has it all. They have a computer lab, a writing center to help you with essays and so much more. It is a very welcoming place no matter how you like to study and I know students who just live in the library... almost. It is a place where you will defiantly to get all you studying done.

Parking: Biola University actually had an awesome parking though i haven't explore all of them but my experience with the 4 times visits has actually been great. The parking is visible well explained, enough for students and staff. The guest parking lot is the closest to wherever you are going which to me deserve A. It can be frustrating for a guest to have to walk mile before he/her reaches their destination.

Campus Food: It's such an incredible hotspot. I love it the first time i went there. I was reluctant to leave. Am so glad i'll be transferring there this Spring semester. The architectural structure was awesome! The chasers and table were designed for interactions basically convenience for eating and gisting.
The variety of food is amazing, it varies from nutritional, to vegetarian, fat burgarian, if language permits. Name it whatever you want, it's in the Dining. You can also create the style of menu you want.

Health & Safety: Biola University campus safety is secured starting from the entry of the campus the police check you in and give you a direction to where you and going nearest available parking fro convenience. You also see the patrol officer either on bike or car roaming about all willing to help in case you are lost. The first time i went their it was really a nice experience.
In addition, you feel safe while working amidst your friends because the campus is not that wide that you feel lost but spacious enough for you to feel the community which is one of the top priority in Biola.

Scholarships: Money.... That's the Hardest Part. This school is VERY expensive. I believe the experience is worth it in the long run, but getting through it is a long haul. The financial aid department is somewhat helpful. I would strongly encourage a ton of prayer and thought when thinking about attending this school

Biola boasts an amazing Christian fellowship that's focused on delivering the Gospel, not only to its students, but to the world surrounding it. In taking classes and attending lectures, students feel much more apt to take on the world, not only with renewed and strengthened faith, but also with a professional education.

Biola can be an adjustment. But once you get involved with on-campus jobs and school events, it becomes much easier. After spending time with the students and faculty, you'll come to realize that you'll never find a school quite like this. But it takes a little bit of work at first. Biola's teaching is amazing, and the community is unparalleled. Nowhere else on Earth can students strike up random conversations with anyone and be able to "Facebook-friend" them and ask them to coffee the very next day. If you value your education and want to surround yourself with God-fearing students serving each other and the Lord, then Biola is the place for you!
