Administration: Students sign a non-alcohol/drug contract that is enforced

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: Health center is ok for very basic care.
Campus security provide great safety classes

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Have grown tremendously in my faith with the Bible classes available

5 College Senior

Campus Quality: Christian centered activities for all interests

3 College Junior

Campus Food: There are not that many places to eat on campus, but one of the best things to eat is a breakfast burrito from Eagle's Nest with tater tots.

4 College Junior

Parking: Depending on the time in which you are trying to find a parking spot, it is usually pretty easy to get a parking spot. The only problems are during Torrey Conference and Missions Conference where everybody is on campus at the same time.

3 College Junior

Campus Quality: Although there are not as many campus events and traditions as some schools, the ones that are present are awesome, such as PunknPie, Mockrock, Nationball, The Biola Egg, Torrey Conference, and Missions Conference.

2 College Junior

Athletics: Very few of the students actually go to the games, mainly they are roommates or dating one of the people on the team.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: Very few people drink or do drugs on campus, I have only heard of people drinking rarely, and it always happens off campus at someone's house.

5 College Junior

Academics: The teachers really get to know you and they actually care about how you are doing.

4 College Junior

Academics: You learn a lot from the classes and the teachers really care, but there are some really hard classes for science majors *cough Gen. Chem. cough

3 College Junior

Scholarships: It is hard, but not impossible to get financial aid at Biola, the counselors at the financial aid office try to help you get the money you need for each year.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: So many people on campus end up getting married by the time they graduate.

Campus Housing: Most of the buildings, aside from alpha and the classrooms over by the sand volleyball court, are new in appearance. For the most part, everybody gets along and the occasional dorm rivalries are fun.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Having a car or knowing someone with a car on campus is a very good idea since most of the things to do off campus require either a long walk or a car to get to. On the plus side, you are relativily close to LAX, within an hour drive or so.

5 College Junior

Weather: Perfect weather, neither hot nor cold, usually around 70-85 degrees, not much rainfall and no snow :( but the weather is nice enough that you can stay outside all day.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Almost all of the students are Conservatives and all of them are Christians. That be said, the school is pretty diverse ethnically and economically.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There is off-campus housing literally less than a mile from the school and they have security that keeps the place safe at night. The only problem is that the apartments nearby are usual filled rather quickly by the upperclassmen.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall, Biola is pretty awesome, the teachers are great and friendly. The food at the Café is pretty decent for a college. Best experience is either Nationball, a giant dodge ball competition between the dorm halls, or Mockrock, which is an annual talent competition (mainly skits and dancing)

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: A little better than average. Alpha dorm is out dated and not enough electrical outlets for computer, cell phone, lamp, etc.

Local Area: Overall, better than average, some things are excellent! Just very expensive and taxes are horrendous!

Scholarships: The school has been very good to deal with concerning their financial aid. However, it is extremely hard to get scholarships even though I really need them (if not impossible) because I am white, both parents work, and both parents are married and alive.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Very diverse, which is nice.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Real good options, but you have to have a car to get to most of them.

Biola boasts an amazing Christian fellowship that's focused on delivering the Gospel, not only to its students, but to the world surrounding it. In taking classes and attending lectures, students feel much more apt to take on the world, not only with renewed and strengthened faith, but also with a professional education.

Biola can be an adjustment. But once you get involved with on-campus jobs and school events, it becomes much easier. After spending time with the students and faculty, you'll come to realize that you'll never find a school quite like this. But it takes a little bit of work at first. Biola's teaching is amazing, and the community is unparalleled. Nowhere else on Earth can students strike up random conversations with anyone and be able to "Facebook-friend" them and ask them to coffee the very next day. If you value your education and want to surround yourself with God-fearing students serving each other and the Lord, then Biola is the place for you!
