Campus Quality: The athletics center is great! The library has a lot of places you can go to study and get a lot of work done. There is the SUB, the fireplace pavilion, Commons, etc.

Campus Housing: I really want to live in Hope. I currently live in Alpha. It is an all girl dorm, which is ok at times. But my friends and I like our men. haha

Guys & Girls: Let's just say, Biola has A LOT of attractive people.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It does stink that if both your parents went to Biola, you do not get more of a discount. I think that is something that needs to be changed.

Overall Experience: Biola has been my dream school since I was 12 years old. I will always love it. And I will always think that it is where I am meant to be. I have always known that. :)

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Although I really do not go many places, you can take a shuttle, ride your bike, or use a we-car. Or something like that. My vote though, is go places with friends. It is usually cheaper!!

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many places to eat off campus, if you are willing to pay extra money and not eat in the Caf. However, I recommend that if you have a meal plan...use it!

4 College Freshman

Local Area: La Mirada is a very safe town, and there are so many places you can go. Also, just a half an hour aways is Los Angeles, the beaches, Hollywood, etc. :)

Academics: I love the elementary ed program. There are not a lot of us, so everyone gets close. However, being a teacher we do almost as much as nurses or doctors, but we get paid 1/10th as much.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The professors all pray before class begins, and they are all very welcoming and friendly. Also, they are all extremely smart. The registration process is difficult, but in the end you can usually get the classes you want. The workload is not too extreme.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Everyone at Biola is a Christian. As it is a Christian University. As for race, there are a lot of whites, and asians. The other races are small percents. Everyone is very loving towards one another.

Technology: The computer labs are fine. They are not Macs, but that is ok. The internet works well, but is not as fast as I would like.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: It's a typical Christian school; guys are too afraid to man up and ask a girl out or tell them how they feel, and girls are "too busy dating Jesus." Sad fact, but it's often the stereotype. That being said, campus is full of a lot of beautiful people, men and women alike. Most people are friendly and willing to offer a helping hand, and everybody is dressed to the nines most of the time; it's a very trendy place, but that's also what you get for living just outside of LA.

Campus Housing: The community on campus is absolutely astounding; I have never met and connected with so many people in my life. The bathrooms and dorm rooms are also excellent. My only complaint, however, are the laundry machines. Why in the world, with the amount that we're paying already to go to this school, do we have to pay to use the washers and dryers? I used to go to a one of the major state colleges in Oregon, and we had a MUCH lower tuition than Biola. And yet, we didn't have to pay a single thing to use the laundry room. It's truly appalling how we have to continue to pay out of pocket for little things like this, even though a lot of us are struggling to even afford to attend the classes.

Drug Safety: Biola University is very safe. I have never witnessed drugs or even smoking in the campus.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The campus is very strict about these types of issues.

2 College Freshman

Transportation: There are not many taxis or buses around this area. Cars are a must.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I have applied for financial aid and scholarships, but I still in need of aid due to the high cost of tuition.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Although they may be nightlife spots, Biola University does not aim to participate in these activities.

5 College Freshman

Campus Food: There is great food and menus. The value is understandable.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The university is not that big, but there are great campus activities and student hangouts.

4 College Freshman

Campus Quality: The students, faculties, and staff are great people. The school is Christian and so everyone is devoted to create a loving environment.

Overall Experience: Biola Unversity is great, but I do not meet the required financial needs.

Health & Safety: The campus of Biola University is very secure.

Biola boasts an amazing Christian fellowship that's focused on delivering the Gospel, not only to its students, but to the world surrounding it. In taking classes and attending lectures, students feel much more apt to take on the world, not only with renewed and strengthened faith, but also with a professional education.

Biola can be an adjustment. But once you get involved with on-campus jobs and school events, it becomes much easier. After spending time with the students and faculty, you'll come to realize that you'll never find a school quite like this. But it takes a little bit of work at first. Biola's teaching is amazing, and the community is unparalleled. Nowhere else on Earth can students strike up random conversations with anyone and be able to "Facebook-friend" them and ask them to coffee the very next day. If you value your education and want to surround yourself with God-fearing students serving each other and the Lord, then Biola is the place for you!
