Party Scene: There are some tame parties that happen, but for the most part a "party" looks like a trip to In-N-Out and some loud music in the courtyard.

Scholarships: I had a wonderful experience. There were some hiccups, but the people taking my calls were very patient and were able to properly direct and give me the information necessary.

Campus Food: There are a good amount of places to get a variety of meals. The caf is great if you have time to spare, especially since it is all you can eat. Meal exchange at Commons is always good. The best grab-n-go meal are the wraps at Talon.

Campus Housing: Living on campus is mandatory for all freshmen. There are a variety of dorms to choose from, each with their own personality and social dynamic. Regardless of the dorm of the floor that one lives on, one is never at a loss for community. Each floor holds a number of activities, including one G.Y.R.A.D ("Get Your Roommate A Date"), which is an outing for the whole floor and their dates. Popular GYRAD activities include kayaking, drive in movies, broom-ball, hikes, bowling and other fun activities. If you're not a big dorm-dweller, DownTown Biola is also a great place to meet and interact with other students. The coffee shop, bookstore, fireplace, and Student Union Building are all open to students and considered a great place for late night, on-campus, hang outs.

Off-Campus Housing: I'm an off-campus student that lives in a school-provided dorm that is less than 50 yards away from the actual campus itself (I know, it kind of doesn't make sense). I haven't heard of many (if any) major complaints from those who live in the apartments (whether Biola provided or not). La Mirada is a generally nice and safe city. People usually find options that work well for them.

Off-Campus Dining: Haven't done much of it because the school provides enough of what I need, but when I do go off campus, I'm not dissatisfied.

Administration: It's pretty good. No the only thing that tends to have the most contention is the visitation hours, but most people are understanding about them and how they work anyway, so it's not the worst thing in the world.

Party Scene: I'm not a party scene type of person. I think in many ways that it can be detrimental to the college experience. That being said, there isn't a lack of options for having fun and school events to get involved in. I think Biola makes up for it pretty well in those options.

Scholarships: I haven't received a lot of money from Biola, but any help that they have provided has definitely been welcome. The process is generally pretty smooth.

Off-Campus Dining: I rarely go off campus to eat, but when I do, I'm satisfied

Administration: Administration is pretty strict. There is a long line of authority, so the strictness depends on who is working or who enforces what rules.

Party Scene: There is a very small party scene at Biola, but that is a large reason a lot of people go to Biola in the first place. It is known for not being party school.

Campus Food: Biola dining is okay. It would be nice to have other foods, such as chick-fil-a or starbucks on campus

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Biola housing is fantastic, the community is awesome. Although the rules for open hours can be a nuisance, the reason for them is good.

5 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: I"ve never lived off campus, but my friends have no problems with it

4 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: I'm assuming it is great, from the places I have visitied

Administration: Very strict, because of our mission statement. However, a majority of the students at Biola will respect the strictness because it's what shapes us into who we are

3 College Student

Scholarships: I believe that my school is helping me receive as much financial aid as I can, although the process can be overwhelming at times.

Party Scene: Biola University is not a party school. We find better ways to have fun other than the typical drinking and hooking up parties. The fun that we have brings us together as a community rather than risking our lives to drugs and alcohol

Campus Housing: Everything that you ever need, you have access to. It's comfy, the social atmosphere is great, and we also have a lot of fun

Greek Life: We all treat eachother equally

Biola boasts an amazing Christian fellowship that's focused on delivering the Gospel, not only to its students, but to the world surrounding it. In taking classes and attending lectures, students feel much more apt to take on the world, not only with renewed and strengthened faith, but also with a professional education.

Biola can be an adjustment. But once you get involved with on-campus jobs and school events, it becomes much easier. After spending time with the students and faculty, you'll come to realize that you'll never find a school quite like this. But it takes a little bit of work at first. Biola's teaching is amazing, and the community is unparalleled. Nowhere else on Earth can students strike up random conversations with anyone and be able to "Facebook-friend" them and ask them to coffee the very next day. If you value your education and want to surround yourself with God-fearing students serving each other and the Lord, then Biola is the place for you!
