3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I do not know much about it as i do not live on campus, but the dorms and locations of them seem convenient enough

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Again, as it is a christian college i am unaware of substance abuse that may occur near campus.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There does not appear to be too much security on campus, but because it is a Christian college there does not need to be much.

3 College Sophomore

Technology: The computer labs are conveniently located in the library and there are many to go around.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Great food options. Wish there were more healthy alternatives though.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus. I haven't been too concerned.

3 College Junior

Local Area: Not the best area. It's got some good parks, lots of good food places, a fun dollar theatre, normal movie theatres, close to LA, the beach, etc.

3 College Junior

Party Scene: There isn't a huge party scene at Biola athough I'm sure there is some kind.

1 College Junior

Greek Life: We have no greek life.

4 College Junior

Diversity: I think Biola has a great a great diverse culture but there are some grey areas that cause a little bit of tension.

4 College Junior

Athletics: As an athlete I love it here but I do wish we were supported more by our student body and even administration. We work hard for God's glory and wish that people would support us as fellow brother and sisters in Christ.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I don't know much about it, I'm sure some people part-take in it...but I don't know of anyone

3 College Junior

Administration: I think it is for the best interest of the students. It is hard with the pressure for drinking when people are of age when you are home for spring break or on your birthday.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I absolutely loved living on campus. The community, hall events, floor events, RA's, etc. ARE ALL AMAZING. You do need to take initiative and make an effort to get to know people but it's usually a two way street.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: It is sometimes confusing but for the most part I can figure out what I need to do. It is difficult to get outside scholarships and the specific loans biola can give have high interest rates.

4 College Junior

Majors: I applied under kinesiology and I got accepted there are no criteria or separate application.

3 College Junior

Majors: It is a very difficult program, if you are not determined or planning to go to graduate school then I would consider something else. I love the material so I think it is worth it. The sciences here are incredibly hard. A lot of time, effort, and study sessions are required to do well, let alone pass. There are awesome opportunities and great faculty that care and help, their curriculum is just very difficult, and the grading is hard as well.

3 College Sophomore

Technology: I use the computer lab since I do not have a laptop.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is diversity if you seek it out. There is a good amount of acceptance as well.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Diversity is encoraged and fostered on campus, however students tend to flock to their own kind which is natural.

3 College Freshman

Local Area: LA has a lot to offer, but it is a large area so things can be far away and more money than I am willing to spend.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The school holds its students to high, but appropriate standards and handles things appropriately.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Most of the dorms are very nice and each one has a unique personality. Housing selection can be hard, but it is a work in progress.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of the same things. The area is highly asian populated so there are a lot of asian food places and few other options.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I literally never see or hear about drugs on campus, and in the past years I've only personally heard of one person drinking.

Biola boasts an amazing Christian fellowship that's focused on delivering the Gospel, not only to its students, but to the world surrounding it. In taking classes and attending lectures, students feel much more apt to take on the world, not only with renewed and strengthened faith, but also with a professional education.

Biola can be an adjustment. But once you get involved with on-campus jobs and school events, it becomes much easier. After spending time with the students and faculty, you'll come to realize that you'll never find a school quite like this. But it takes a little bit of work at first. Biola's teaching is amazing, and the community is unparalleled. Nowhere else on Earth can students strike up random conversations with anyone and be able to "Facebook-friend" them and ask them to coffee the very next day. If you value your education and want to surround yourself with God-fearing students serving each other and the Lord, then Biola is the place for you!
