4 College Freshman

Parking: Parking at the dorms is mostly good. Sometimes its difficult to find a spot nearby. The biggest issue is behind McAlister (aka The Science Building) which can get brutal after about 9am.

Parking: Now that the new freshman are here, there is no room for anything.

5 College Sophomore

Parking: Having the largest campus in the world has its perks. We pay a relatively small fee and can park almost anywhere on campus. Of course the parking lots near certain academic buildings and the small one near the dining hall fill up fast, but the dorms are all within a mile of the buildings and dining hall, not to mention the enormous parking lot behind the cage (the athletic building) that I have never seen completely full. Parking is pretty easy!

2 College Junior

Parking: If you want to make sure you have a good parking spot, leave your dorm at least 20 minutes before class. Parking isn't the best, but the dorms are within a close proximity to the academic buildings, so most of the time you won't even need to drive to class.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: It's extremely difficult to find parking spots during the afternoon at most of the academic buildings. Plan accordingly!

Although Berry has increased parking spaces around campus, parking still tends to be a sore spot for some students. Depending on the area where you live, it is not uncommon to drive around a parking lot two to three times in search of a decent parking space. When you get a good one and leave, don't expect it to be there when you return, which is why many students walk to class.

The least desired parking area would have to be at the Ford Complex, where students refer to the three parking lots as "Heaven," "Hell," and "Purgatory." Morgan/Deerfield has its own problems, as well, because the parking lot is shared with the neighboring townhouses. However, the parking lot is well-lit, which makes late-night walks back to dorms more manageable and safe for students. Overall, parking could improve, but students quickly adjust to it as the semester goes on.
