Drug Safety: Don't drink. Don't do drugs

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: We are a substance free campus, but that doesn't mean students aren't drinking or smoking pot. If you're looking for it, you'll find it. If you aren't, then you won't find anything.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I don't parake at all, but their are plenty of students who do. Nearly all the varsity athletes.

Berry is a dry campus, but students often refer to it as "the wettest dry campus in Georgia." Although drugs are not that prominent, they are still seen from time to time at parties, and students know where to get them if they want them bad enough. Alcohol is the most common drug on campus. With a larger class size every year, there has been an increase of reported incidents concerning alcohol. If students are caught, they report to Residence Life and the Dean of Students, but students who have had to go through that process are not intimidated by it, and it is not said to have had a lasting impression on them.

Because of Berry's conservative nature, hard drugs are not a huge issue on campus. Students do drink, and alcohol is easy to find, but carelessness is what causes problems for the rest of campus. There are bars around Rome that are student friendly. Just remain safe and make sure you find a responsible designated driver.
