Facts & Statistics

Tips for Getting In
  • Apply early! The earlier you apply, the greater chance you have to get in.
  • Be involved in high school.
  • Keep a high GPA.
  • Tour the school to get your name out there.
  • Volunteer.
Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • Deer poop is everywhere on campus; make sure you watch where you step!
  • It's OK not to do well your first semester. Professors, staff, and students all know it's a huge adjustment transitioning into college. Professors are willing and able to help guide you through your journey, and they prove to be great mentors.
  • Living off campus is not an option if you do not meet very specific requirements.
  • Not having a car is feasible, but very difficult. Unfortunately, Rome does not offer extensive public transportation to get around, and taking a five-minute trip to Wal-Mart can seem like a difficult task. Berry students are very generous and understanding of students who don't have cars on campus. Once friendships are formed, a trip to Wal-Mart may become a weekly ritual.
  • The weather is very unpredictable. Make sure you bring a few sturdy umbrellas and rain boots; students never regret having extra!

Campus Tours

Overnight Visits
Berry does offer overnight stays for prospective students. Visit this website ( to schedule a campus visit and to set up an overnight stay. The stay will be with a current student. Virtual Tour of Campus
Did You Know?
Most campus visits are run by students and offer many things like student panels, campus tours, and question-and-answer sessions about financial aid for parents.
