Parking on the Beloit College campus is like a very exciting game of Monopoly. It takes forever, but if you win, you feel a real sense of accomplishment. It’s true what they say, you’ll always be able to park somewhere, but it may not always be where you wanted to park. And if you’re driving, say, a giant 10-person burgundy station wagon around campus, chances are it’s going to be a bit problematic trying to get your huge piece of car into a space. But, whoa, can you haul a lot back from Wal-Mart!
If you have a car, people will want to use it or want you to use it to bring them somewhere. If you don’t have a car, you can find some nice sucker whose parents bought them a new car for graduation to cart you around. Or one of your friends may also have a car. Or you can hold your horses until Wednesday night for Students Activities to cart you around in the Beloit College vans. Having a car is definitely not necessary, considering the small size of the school and its proximity to essential places. You can walk to downtown Beloit where the bookstore is. It’s not something I would fret about.
