Academic Flexibility: I feel like the academic flexibility is a long process. We have to talk to multiple people just to get an answer. Getting your credits transferred is also a long process. It has to go through multiple people and some of the things also have to be done by computer.

Academic Flexibility: Haven't transferred yet, but counselor helped find which classes are transferable.

Academic Flexibility: There are a lot of different options for class to make sure you are able to take the classes you need.

Academic Flexibility: The teachers are great at seeing that something is not working in the class and changing it. One teacher had a quarter long group project he wanted us to do that he cancelled after the first assignment and review because we didn't like it and it wasn't working. Another teacher was told by the administration that he was supposed to teach a math class in a classroom using a computer math-learning program that didn't work for most students so part way through the quarter he changed it to a lecture based class and saved the grades of the majority of the students.

Transferring credits is easy for you but the credits do not often transfer. I brought in my old transcripts to my first advising session and they told me I had to take a specific class. After I had taken the class I submitted my transcripts to be evaluated and it turned out that I already had credits for that class and took it for no reason but had to take a different class instead. They told me to take the wrong classes and did not care or do anything about it.

Classes at Bellevue College are very flexible. Students can attend day, night, online, hybrid, and late-start classes. Many people who lead busy lives and do not have the time to come to school five days a week utilize the flexible options of online, night, and hybrid classes.

Hybrid classes are classes that are part online, part in an actual classroom. Classes usually meet two to four days a week for hybrid classes. Late-start classes are just classes that do not start on the first day of school, instead beginning later in the month. For some people, online classes can be difficult. However, online classes are really easy to figure out at Bellevue College. Emailing the instructor if there is a problem is a common courtesy. For people that are wary of online classes, they usually start hybrid classes to get familiar with the online process. Then, if they like it, they continue on to online classes.

Academic/Testing Requirements
Bellevue College has an open admissions policy. So don't worry if you have a low high school GPA. You do have to take an English and math assessment, though. After applying for admission to the College, students should stop by the Assessment Office to set up their assessment.
Transferring Credits In & Out
It is pretty easy. When students have questions, they turn to their advisers.
Typical Session Length
A typical class is 50 minutes in length. A typical course runs the length of the quarter or 11 weeks.
Class Style & Structure
Most instructors do lectures and utilize PowerPoint presentations to teach students. Classes vary in homework, but usually the bulk of class points is the tests.
Course Registration Process
You first get your appointment for registration after you do the application process. When it is time for registration, you can do it online or in person. When registering online, you log in and then pick the quarter of your choosing. For the classes, there are online schedules for the quarter of your choosing. Each class has an item number listed before it. You type in the item number in the entry boxes in your registration to choose classes.
