Instructors Are Unprofessional – This college doesn't have my specific major, but I am taking classes concurrently with another college to finish my general educational requirements. My experience with the professors I have taken at this school so far has been mostly negative. I had one class where the professor would ask us questions that did not pertain to the textbook and could only be answered with the help of a search engine (which was prohibited on exams). Another professor rarely responded to students' emails and preferred social media sites such as "Twitter and Facebook" to communicate (which I have neither of and am not willing to create one just to have my inquiries answered). In addition, this professor would show "favoritism" to certain students (in an obvious manner) and change the due dates of assignments without informing the class. I continue to take classes at this college because it is an easier means of getting classes I couldn't add at my other school.

I am a resident of Barstow CA, retired Military. I choose BCC to transfer and complete California Degree Requirements. I took an Online course that was successfull. The Worklife Course I need was associated with my VocEd work with SIU at Carbondale; projected for BCC students that were in full time attendance for AA Degrees. The Counselor at that time stated it would be unfair for me to step in and take the course from the projected graduates. I attended Park University while stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB, OK, Grade Rate A+. Edwards AFB Education Office assisted in my receipt of my BS Degree from California State Dominguez Hills, CA that I attended years later.

Being able to have classes in an online environment. For me my experience was great i was able to do all my work online and learn many things. I believe a person who wants to take online classes must be willing to take their time and read their material and participate with the discussions given. It was very easy to register for my online classes. I was able to have interactions with students on a daily discussion forum, the workload was the same as a classroom environment. The professors were always available and had many office hours if needed.
