Off-Campus Housing: The housing off campus is much better if you find something for the right price but on a college students budget that wont be much in the quality department. Safety, parking, landlord and availability depends on the area in which you want to live.

Off-Campus Housing: I was not in off campus housing

Off-Campus Housing: It just all depends on if you going right or left.

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off campus so I am not sure. My friends and I hope to live off campus some day but who knows, everything in Miami is so expensive.

Off-campus housing near Barry can be a bit pricey, so roommates are unavoidable unless you have a lot of money to spend. But, if you’re still set on finding an apartment, make sure to start looking early! Check out Craigslist, apartments.com, or even Google "apartments in Miami" if you have to. You can also look on Facebook for Barry students who may be looking for a roommate off campus. The University may even assist you in finding affordable off-campus housing if you ask. Whatever you do, don’t wait two weeks before arriving at school to try to find an apartment. If you stay on top of your housing game, you will not have a tough time finding a comfortable, safe, and affordable place to live, and many Barry students enjoy sharing an off-campus place with friends because they can party without as much interference and just get away from campus if they want.

However, if you are unsure about where you should live, the experience of living on campus is definitely worth it. You will never miss out on fun campus activities Barry offers, and you won’t have to worry about working long shifts just to pay rent every month. Not to mention, the price of food is included in your housing costs, the air-conditioning and heat are free, and life is less stressful thanks to less time working and more time focusing on education and the college life. So, make sure you look at all your options before deciding on a place to live. Miami is an expensive place to live, and if you do not do your research, you may be out of luck when trying to find an affordable apartment.
