3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Some can be a pain in the rear, but some are nice and are willing to help

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: My dorms are one of the best, but it gets dirty alot because the dorm is outside.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I want to join a sorority but not a big fan of "Sisterhood"

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I feel since my school is so small, everyone knows your business. I feel if i stay focus on me and not worry about others, I can have a better college life.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: They take pride in the gyms that we have.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Barry is an amazing school but I think they should do more to keep the students involved especially when we're having to pay so much.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I wish the workload were a tiny bit less at times, but for the most part academics are great. Most of the professors are nice and approachable, but some are a little frustrating. Browne needs some kind of lounge, or access to one for studying, otherwise it is your dorm or outside and all I have to say about the is bugs. I have had a bad experience and a good experience with the writing center, but I like that it exists and it is fairly easy to get help. Overall the academics are pretty great.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Sometimes it feels like the security guards on campus slack off at times. for the most part I feel safe, but it is hard to get back on campus at night if you don't have a car as there is really only one entrance open at night It's good for general safety, but it is really annoying when I walk to the gas station and have to walk to the other side of campus to get back.

Overall Experience: The job fairs are a great way to look at jobs and there are a lot of jobs on campus. There is also a job report sent in an email every month, which is really helpful when looking for a job during the semester. I have heard that it is fairly easy to get a job after graduation, but I don't have any personal experience son I can't really speak on the matter.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I like pretty much everything but there are a bunch of little things I wish we had, or were different. I wish we had football, or more emphasis on the collegiate sports for school spirit. We could have some more social activities, too. More restaurants and more "fun" courses, like Japanese, or mythology, or some other classes like that.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I like the dorm I am in (Browne) because the rooms are spacious and you get to know most people on your side. I oddest really like how small the other freshman dorms are. however, those dorms do have lounges for socializing and studying and a printer and vending machines readily available, but other than that Browne is pretty nice. It is pretty easy to get paired with someone you like, or choose your housing, but it is not very easy to switch rooms (at least for freshman) because there isn't a lot of extra rooms.

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: The greek life is almost nonexistent. There are a couple different chapters on campus, but they don't have houses or do much on campus in general. Sometimes they do some fundraising for something, but other than that and their demonstrations every once in a while, the don't have much of a presence here.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I like its size and the availability and variety of help that is available. Most of the students and faculty are nice, too.

3 College Senior

Diversity: It is Ok, it is very diverse. If anything caucasian students are a minority. LGBT there but not recognized/accepted

2 College Senior

Academics: Has not prepared me for success in my prefession.

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: Did not cover information that will assist me in passing national boards and be successful in my profession. Did not response to requests for more help in needed areas. Director is not helpful or concerned with student success.

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: Our schools is not respected in the community.

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: Many of the classes were not useful. They have not prepared us to pass national boards. They had one main topic to cover and teach us, on a practice test over 70% of our class failed that portion! Our request for more interaction and hands on went unheeded. The director of the program actively dislikes students.95% of my learned was self directed or co-student directed!!! A huge disappointment!

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There are not a lot of variety of courses offered for the adult nights.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The is non of this at the adult night.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: At the adult night campus, there is no security.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: There is no housing at the adult night campus.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: I am at a adult night campus.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: At the beginning of the school, I had a great advisor, after she was replaced/retired, I have seen a major change in the school administration.

Barry is a great university because it feels like its own community, yet everyone is so diverse and different. The class sizes here are small, and the professors are welcoming, warm, and give students personal attention, allowing for close-knit relationships to form between faculty and students. This makes each student feel like an individual who actually matters to the University. And it’s not just the professors who are welcoming—the other students here are very friendly, as well. From late-night snack runs to eating at the local restaurants with friends, students will create enough memories here to last a lifetime. Another perk is that Barry is very generous with financial aid, so if you think you can’t afford the tuition at this private school, think again.

And the fact that Barry is in Miami makes it even better. With its amazing beaches, clubs, restaurants, and entertainment, this city truly has it all! So if you’re looking for a unique college experience, give Barry a try, because as the motto says, “Barry is where you belong.”
