When I had decided I was going to register for classes this semester, I was a little fish in a big pond. I new nothing about the process or the territory. Luckily for me, every campus employee I've come across has been nothing but extremely helpful! In just two days, I had everything I needed to start class, I was registered and I lined everything up all the way to graduation. I've never stepped up to a task with such confidence and I'm a completely different person from the scared child I was in high school. I've been nothing but blessed and thankful this whole experience.

My Academic Experience has been wonderful. I am absolutely in love with school and Bakersfield College made it easy for me to take classes for a low price and now I am set for my future. I love that I have been able to learn without drowning myself in loans. The music program is wonderful! I would encourage music majors from Bakersfield to start here. Everyone is encouraging and very supportive. My workload was always very reasonable to handle. I made sure not too take too many hard courses at once but I still had a lot on my plate, especially with working part time on the side. The financial aid office was very useful to me. They had many scholarships that I qualified for and they made the process very simple. I have made plenty of friends along the way and got through in a good amount of time. As long as you have a set plan and a major, Bakersfield College is an easy way to get your AA degree.

Excited and Content! I really enjoy attending this college because the teachers are awesome and they care about their students and not only them ,but the staff as well. For example, on my first day, i was very bewildered because i didn't know where was my class at , so i went to the office and the secretary helped me out by giving me a map without any cost.Furthermore, I'm not that smart, but BC is inducing me to succeed in life and realize that we can achieve our goals if keep going and never giving up. As you can see, I'm kind of excited by the fact that I haven't even finished high school and I'm already enrolled in college and ready to be someone successful in life.
