3 College Freshman

Online Courses: Online experience has always been below the experience of in door class room time. Workload is a lot more manageable I feel and a lot less stressful online.

4 College Freshman

Career Services: The college has a specific center just for alumni that is able to connect to one another for references, job tips, advice etc.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My experience with the professors has been great. Often times almost all of my professors will linger after class so if anyone had any questions on the lectures they can ask then. The class sizes so far has been very adequate, for a college class that is, in that roughly an average of 50-60 kids, allowing for more individual interaction.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The college has numerous resources regarding on campus jobs, internships, and even extra-help for those just entering the work industry. A degree from this college in particular would be invaluable simply because it is renown for having some of the best professors in California. Roughly about twice a year the college has a job fair in which both big and small companies come and set up booths handing out job applications and information on how to apply to that specific company.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I feel like the college I attend is one of the best in the city if not the state and I would not give a second thought to choosing another one. Best experience is also what makes this school unique in that the teachers actually care, so if i had a question they would regurgitate the whole lesson if need be, regardless if it was a lengthy one.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: It's okay at best. Some classes are only one time and day which isn't convenient for people.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I personally haven't taken any online classes but people tell me they're okay, not too hard.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm not sure yet, I've only done general classes but hoping to find out what it's like to be a rad tech major soon.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Bakersfield college is a great school with great professors but they can sometimes be a little fast in class and rarely go over everything, so that means you must study everything.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I am a fulltime student and work a fulltime job and the fact that I can work my classes around my schedule has made my college experience a good one.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: The professors here are all amazing and very caring about learning, as long as you are putting forth the effort, they will go above and beyond to make sure that you succeed

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: There are always job fairs to network with prospective employers, as well as job networking within each college club on campus.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: Being an ASL major here is the best choice I've ever made. All of the instructors go above and beyond to make sure that everyone understands. There is also a big deaf community of students that attend here and the school will be starting an interpreting program by next year which I am very excited about! These classes really help you to get involved with the deaf community in Bakersfield.

Overall Experience: I really enjoy going to Bakersfield College. I have yet to come across a professor that doesn't care about making sure that a student succeeds. The only thing that I can really say that counts against the school is that there are so many students there and that it can be hard getting the classes that you need sometimes. I do know that the college is currently trying to fix this issue but adding more classes and allowing more students in classrooms.

Academic Flexibility: Like I previously mentioned, this school is great. I'm very thankful. They have helped me with credits and transferring. I stopped going for a while because I needed to work to help my family out but every time I was ready to come back there was always classes available.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: Although it's great and easy I always prefer being in a classroom

5 College Senior

Career Services: They are always willing to help and often have other campuses come visit to talk to transfer students.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Bakersfield college is a great school but I plan on transferring to get my degree. Nonetheless, they have done everything in their power to help me with expenses and learning. Everything I needed was available and the staff is always willing to help.
