Academic Flexibility

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I haven't transferred credits, however living on campus is so great, enrolling in classes was a breeze, receiving financial aid was easy.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Teachers understand when you have an issue with time or an emergency and have to miss class or leave early. Most homework is done online, so that's convenient. you have a deadline, but can work at your own pace for the most part. I'm a first time student, so I didn't have credits to transfer, but I have talked to other students who have and didn't have issues.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Very flexible with adjusting class times and days.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have loved being at Baker. I went to a community college years ago and had no help, no flexibility, and total frustration with everything. Every educator and everyone on staff at Baker in Owosso has been very hands on and they truly seem to care about the students and helping them succeed.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: It was pretty easy to transfer credits from a previous school/degree, but I have had the frustration of dealing with program directors wanting me to take a class on campus that I had transferred credit in, because their class is a little different than the one I took at the other school. If you want students to take that class, don't accept transferred credits for it.
